Taco John's — Restaurant in West Des Moines

The worst thing that Taco Bell ever did was get rid of their Double Decker Taco. For years I have prayed for it's return, but since Taco Bell is a soulless restaurant, my prayers went unheard. When I moved to DSM a month ago I discovered that Taco Johns has something called a "Taco Bravo" which is essentially a Double Decker Taco. My prayers have been answered by an angel called John.

Growing up in Idaho I had a restaurant called "Taco Johns" it was incredible but sadly closed down about 10 years ago. When I moved here I was so excited to go again, but was very saddened when I discovered it to be vastly different. In my anguish I swore of the false Taco Johns forever. About a week later I was craving tacos again and I gave up on my swearing off of Taco Johns. It was that day that I discovered their taco bravo.

Updating 9/18, 2023 830pm. This is the 3rd time ive had to retun to get the sour cream. And, it's also the 3rd time the one's were absolutely terrible. My kids or I couldn't eat them . Please toss the ole's if they look bad. I love taco John's but, i might have ti goto a different location that cares about their product in the evenings. You can do better guys. we love your food and look forward ti a good meal. Please keep that in mind when we (customers). pull up. I have used this TJ for many years but quality has been so so. When we go through drive through, more than half the time an item has been missing or incorrect. Frequently we order 4 to 6 items. When items are missing it has generally been the nacho cheese or the chips though occasionally others items are not in the bag. If you ask for ingriendients to be left off, sometimes they leave it off the wrong item. Also, sometimes their torrillas are hard or the chips stale, though this tends to be a problem only at night. If you go before 6pm, have them verify your order, and you thoroughly check your bag/items you should have a good experience, but I do not recommend trying to...
