I am updating this review due to the first coming across significantly more harsh than intended. As someone who lived across the street from a bakery and walking outside in the morning to smell the fresh frying donuts being the highlight of my morning and also living where Crispy Creme having their "hot" sign on in the morning was immensely exciting, I value fresh donuts more than most. Upon asking an associate if these were fresh and hearing they were made the night before was really disappointing considering this is virtually the only place in town. I had high expectations and was really let down by not only the price but that they were stale tasting and overly sweet. I bought a dozen to keep an open mind and was not impressed by any of the fancy flavors. To say that no bakery would ever be good enough for me as a buisness owner is pretty presumptious and although you claim the input is helpful I've seen many responses to negativity that show you guys actually can't take criticism at all. Most managers would apologize for the bad experience and ask how they could improve rather than bashing the customer for not enjoying their product. It's not for everyone I guess. I lived here for YEARS and literally JUST discovered what the hype is all about, like a month ago.. Ha! I was actually grabbing lunch somewhere else when one of the workers decided to share a donut with my daughter from a box they'd ordered. Anyhow, I took a bite of hers and my life flashed before my eyes and has since been changed forever! The Bismarck Apple flavored donut that they have, is BANANAS! Pun intended.. 🤣 I now waste gas, that no one can afford 🙄, to travel the few miles that it takes to get me there JUST to order that donut. I'm honestly not interested in trying any other donut, but The Bismarck Apple because it's THAT good. I give 4-stars because the very first time that I visited the famous Sandy's Donuts, I wasn't greeted by the cashier who was standing there. I essentially just stood around waiting for another person to notice that I hadn't been helped. To their defense, there seems to be a lot high school kids working there for the summer, and no one else really wants to work now, so I can't really complain about it that much if I want a donut 😅.
