⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect!
The moment we walked into Thai Orchid, we were greeted so warmly, and right away, it felt like home. There’s something about the atmosphere here—it’s cozy, welcoming, and has that special family-run charm that makes you feel like you’re not just a customer but a guest. Even though I’ve never been to Thailand, for a moment, I felt like I had stepped into a Thai home, where a family was serving us their most treasured recipes.
Now, the food—wow.
The spring rolls? Absolute perfection. That first bite—so crispy and golden on the outside, and then the filling just melts in your mouth. Fresh, flavorful, and everything you want in a good spring roll.
The Tom Kha Soup. Oh. My. Goodness. This was our first time trying it, and we were blown away. The creamy coconut broth, the tangy, savory, slightly sweet mix of flavors—it was like a warm hug in a bowl. I swear this soup has some kind of healing magic in it. It’s that comforting.
For our mains, we had the Evil Prince and the Cashew Nut—both were amazing. The Evil Prince had this perfect kick of spice, balanced with rich, deep flavors that made every bite better than the last. The Cashew Nut dish was just as incredible—the crunch of the cashews, the tender veggies, and that delicious sauce all came together in the best way. We kept stealing bites from each other’s plates because we couldn’t decide which was better!
This place is officially our new favorite Thai spot in Fargo. Everything—the food, the atmosphere, the hospitality—just feels special. We’ll definitely be back, probably sooner than we should! If you haven’t been here yet, do yourself a favor and go. You...
Read moreThai Orchid is a gem of a place! The restaurant is immaculately clean and has a modern design with a warm and welcoming feeling inside. Plenty of parking in the front and on the side. The owner and her sister are incredibly friendly and helpful and always make food recommendations and come out frequently to greet and speak to their guests. The food is top notch authentic Thai cuisine and everything here is fresh and handmade. Nothing is frozen from other suppliers. Much of their recipes come from their own family who are all Thai. Anne and Name are such kind, generous, personable, and friendly people and their kitchen and serving staff are too! Thai Orchid has been in business for over 9 years and they will continue making the best darn food in all of Fargo/Moorhead. And their wall of awards proves just that. They’ve won the InForum BEST ETHNIC CUSINE in Red River Valley in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. I’ve also heard that they are receiving another prestigious award in 2023! Do yourself a favor and check this place out over and over again! The food is superb and out of this world delicious, but the owners and staff are truly what sets it apart from all the others.
Thank you for being amazing, Thai Orchid! You guys work so so...
Read moreThai Orchid is hands down my favorite Thai restaurant I’ve ever dined at. We eat here regularly and sometimes order for pickup, and the food has always been consistently delicious. Anne, the owner, is incredibly nice and friendly, it’s always a joy to see her! The whole staff is welcoming and kind, and the ambience is so relaxing. It’s the kind of place that makes me feel at home, especially since I’m from Southeast Asia.
One thing to keep in mind is to make sure to choose the spice level you can handle, because there’s no refund if it’s too spicy for you (they mean business!)
My go-to comfort food here is the Pad Garden. I’ve been ordering it since the beginning. I might sound like a boring person for sticking with it, but I genuinely love it. They also have a variety of dishes to choose from, so there’s something for everyone.
There’s convenient parking, and prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you get.
I highly recommend trying their mango cheesecake dessert (so good!), the soup in the photo (I wish I remembered the name, but it was excellent), Pad Garden and Pad Garlic. Definitely a gem worth checking out if you happen to be in the Fargo and...
