This is the worst Country Pride I have ever been to. It started first when I ordered my drink. I requested root beer. They said they have not gotten the syrup for root beer in months. They had no other soft drinks that I cared for. So I went to the TA and got a soft drink of my choice. Then the person I was with ordered a Club salad with lots of mushrooms. The waitress wasn't sure if they had mushrooms. She went back and asked the cook. Nope! So they had to change their order. Then I asked for mozzarella sticks. Guess what they were out. So I ordered chicken fried chicken. She tried to say they don't have that anymore. I stopped her and said I know it is no longer on the menu but I was told by SEVERAL other Country prides that it can be made. She stopped arguing and ordered it. Well after all that I forgot to ordered it without gravy. So when it came to me with gravy I said "this was my mistake. I forgot to ask no gravy. I will pay for it but I would like another one please." She put in the new order. It came out to me it was just a piece of chicken deep fried NO breading on it at all. When I brought it up to the waitress who was right with the cook and said that there should be breading on it. The cook turned to me and said "it does I put flour on it." There is no way he put anything on that chicken. The cook was rude acted so high he couldn't seem to understand. The waitress just stood there everytime they didn't have something like dumbfounded. Couldn't get a manager for the restaurant OR TA. I left hungry, angry, and insulted by the cook! Will NEVER go...
Read moreThere were literally no clean tables to sit at. All tables were either dirty or already had customers. I attempted to speak to a female employee to ask if I could sit in one of the the two sections that were blocked off, but she simply ignored me and walked past me without comment. I asked another female employee if I could speak to the manager. The first female employee, who had ignored me, walked out and announced that she was the manager. I attempted to explain that every single table was either dirty or occupied, but before I was able to complete a sentence, she rudely interrupted and began to speak over me. I explained to her that her behavior was very rude and that she should allow me to speak, but she wasn't interested, and continued to interrupt me every time I tried to speak. I left the restaurant, angry and hungry. This person had no business being in any customer service position. She had absolutely no manners or ability to be polite whatsoever...and before you even bother to respond, let me guess: You're sorry you didn't exceed my expectations this last visit. You hope to see me again soon and will do everything you can to deliver a great experience? Does that about cover it...Rick, is it? Don't bother. Insincerity, much like rudeness, is epidemic. Amend your hiring practices so that you only employ people who at least possess the ability to be polite. Pro tip: People with tattoos on their faces may not be the best choice in the future. Have a...
Read moreExcellent Service Makes A World of Difference
Those who provide exceptional service deserve to be recognized in every way possible. Far too often, servers hear the complaints and issues from customers rather than hearing when things go well.
Cheyenne was an excellent example of how exceptional service makes all the difference. She comes across as friendly, caring, and genuine. Its clear that she cares about the service she provides. She was courteous and attentive. Through her attention to detail, she made a routine meal feel like a refreshing stop amid a blur of miles driven.
What I assumed would be a fill up for both my tanks and stomach, was transformed into a real reset to my mood. It may seem like “she was just doing her job”, but by comparison to countless others in similar positions nationwide, she really seems to take great pride in herself and her high level of professionalism shows.
I can’t truly express how the little things really make all the difference. I wanted for nothing, felt at home, and truly felt taken care of. Not to mention, she was able to also attend to the needs of at least half a dozen other guests at the same time and seemed to effortlessly give them the same high level of service.
A month from now I won’t remember what I ordered or how it tasted. I will remember the quality of service and how Cheyenne genuinely seemed to care about the experience she gives.
“Take care of those who take...
