Off Shore Restaurant — Restaurant in West Haven

I was the karaoke host at this establishment for past 19yrs. I received zero help in advertising from the owner..Never even a thank you... Throughout the years, the place has turned into a filthy dump. The bathrooms are so nasty I would rather use a port-a-potty at the beach, which is cleaner. Raw sewage was flowing into the building, and he refused to shut it down on a very busy Friday night. They used the same mop for the dining room that they used to mop up the raw sewage. The back dining room is a hoarder's haven full of junk and garbage. I was still able to bring in people and pack the place on a weekly basis no thanks to the owner. Friday nights were the only nights this place had any life at all. The owner felt the need to fire me in a way that should have never been done. Place was packed, and at the end of the night, he paid me and told me I had to get more people in the joint. This comes from a man who did no advertising at all. I suggested he do some advertising and he went into a drunk tirade. Started screaming and swearing at me in front of customers and tried to berate me. Apparently, he is dealing with some inner demons... Long story short, if you feel like eating next to a filled garbage can, then this is the place. Chairs are all broken, no fresh food... and a belligerent owner who called the people who kept this terrible dive bar alive for the past 19yrs scumbags cause they were drinking water in between their many drinks that they have bought along with the...

I was going there to Karaoke for 14 years or so. The place has gone down hill considerably in the last few years. The ladies room has been out of order and women were told to use the disgusting men's room for several weeks in a row. One night there was no running water and the toilets were all overflowing into the restaurant and they were still serving food and drink? For the last few months I have still been going for karaoke because I love the people that go and the family atmosphere of the other patrons; however, I only stayed until I had to use the ladies room then I would leave early and go home. The back room, which is visible to the patrons, looks like an episode of hoarders. Yet they would not let me cut a birthday cake there as, and I quote, "we would have to vacuum up the crumbs". I can't comment on the food as I have not eaten there in years because I did not trust the cleanliness enough. Now that they have no Karaoke to attend I will not be going back as that was the only thing they had going for them. It's sad the owner has not taken enough pride in his establishment to keep it clean, sanitary and inviting for some of what use to be his loyal patrons. Amazing experience! I stopped at this bar for the first time. Shannon was the bartender. The place was packed! When I made my way to the bar, the bartender acknowledge me. When she was done making drinks; she came back to me, I ordered my drink, and she came right back with it! I asked for her name. Shannon is her name! She is fast with drinks, she can handle a big crowd; and I would like to add that; when I was going to order from the menu, she had a great suggestion! Then after eating the best buffalo chicken tenders ever; a man walks out of the kitchen. Long story short; he is the owner. His name was Mark. I told him how wonderful Shannon is, and how good the food was! This place is an amazing spot...
