Tequila Accent Mexican Kitchen & Bar — Restaurant in West Melbourne

I am honestly so confused how this restaurant has good reviews. We came the first time and the food was fantastic but the service was absolutely terrible and we were served by the OWNERS! The owners are the ones that are usually fantastic and people friendly. So we decided to give it another shot maybe it was just a bad day. We went again and the host and the waiter whispers so we kept asking them to repeat themselves over and over again. The service was absolutely terrible. No one EVER refilled our drinks. We ended up drinking each others then our kids. Couldn’t get anyone’s attention because they were all busy chatting together at the bar. Their was only ONE OTHER table both times we came.

They also don’t offer things a La carte. Usually at most Mexican restaurants you can get a extra cheese quesadilla, rice or etc. I told them my son wanted the cheese quesadilla kids meal but could I get an extra cheese quesadilla because 1 will not be enough and he said we don’t do that and charged me for ANOTHER KIDS MEAL FOR 1 QUESADILLA. TERRIBLE!...

This is our third time coming here and it was becoming “our spot” for good and conveniently close Mexican food, but unfortunately this experience has ruined it for us and I don’t know if we will ever take a chance on it again. The restaurant is clean and the decor and atmosphere is nice. However on this visit service was sorely lacking. We were hungry. We were in our date night and looking for a fun place to drink and eat and talk. We waited about 20 minutes before anyone even took our drink and food order. Drinks came 15 minutes later and they were not the margaritas we ordered, they were very watered down mojitos which we sent back. 20 minutes later we still had no drinks or food and we were very hungry and frustrated so we left. In all we spent almost an hour with nothing to show for it but a basket of chips and salsa. Went to another restaurant where we paid more but at least the servers didn’t...

Not only are the prices too high, the food and drinks were NOT worth the price by half. The chips are too burned, salsa is very watery. A sprite cost $3.00. I got a grande Margarita for $14.99, may have been worth half that. The meat in all our dishes were under seasoned and very tough. The rice and beans are very bland. The food wasn’t even as good as local chain restaurants. For the price of this food and drink I was expecting way more. We had to go find our server every time we needed something. One of the dishes on the special board we asked about, the server told us what the special was then the check came with a price double what the special board showed. Even the deluxe margarita taste like the house for double the price so disappointed in this new Palm Bay Mexican restaurant. Don’t waist your time or money. Cost us $100 for 3 people to eat with a drink...
