ISLAND OF SPIRITS Bar and Grill — Restaurant in West Milford

Made a quick stop with my mother and brother and experienced the most disgusting individual. My brother and I decided to play a little pool, and all the way from the bar we hear this guy throwing the N word around and saying “these people are what’s wrong with the country.” We ignored the remarks and continued playing. I honestly couldn’t believe my ears but I initially laughed about it.

He then proceeded to come to the pool table and called to play the next game. I kept my cool and decided to kill his evil with kindness. However the individual continued to say derogatory things. I did not want to fulfill his wish of satisfying his stereotype, so I decided to leave.

There were 2 other male patrons at the bar that showed disgust with the idits behavior. One of them even told me “he’s not a representation of me.” I really felt that one because I have many white friends and I know that this one idit is not an accurate representation.

Though the bartender did not say anything directly racist to me, I felt like she sympathized with the disgusting individual. She thought we were going to leave without paying but we are respectable human beings. The tab was about $5 and I went ahead and left an additional $5 tip.

I am 30 years old and I have never experienced such a thing. I have even lived in Montana and never have I ever. I hope our country is not going down this path.

Some old lady didn’t let me get my beer because my id was vertical .I asked her to scan it multiple times and it also said 2003 ,but she still refused to take it.Shes rude and not understand it scary she has no idea how the law works.Why would I pay for a new id when I have one which is exactly what the next person said at the next store .I just got into a dispensary with the same id.Dont go here it’s ridiculous and that lady is not cool at all.could of said try and get ur sideways id, but I...
