5 BROTHERS BAGELS &DELI — Restaurant in West Milford

Ok. I’ve been coming here for a while now and I am noticing a decline in service here.

The bagels and sandwiches are very good. Taste fantastic. Hence the three stars.

I am taking two stars cause this places service has gone to hell. I stopped coming here cause the past two times they literally have made me late to work. They had a new person making the breakfast sandwiches and it took 10 mins longer than normal. So I took a few weeks off hoping things would improve.

Well

I come back today and once again the service not only is slow, but got slower. Then the caveat to the experience is the guy tells me my food is ready. I even ask him “is that mine and he says yea”.

Get in the car and drive away (I normally eat in car) and open up the sand which. Wrong one!!

I give you guys three starts for quality of food and taste. I gotta take two stars away for the service. Not only this time but last two also. I can’t peruse your place anymore cause of these issues.

Side note- the one woman who normally keeps the ship right in the morning wasn’t present in two of...

I have eaten at this place 2 times before and thought the food was really good. Yesterday I decided to stop in on my way to work for a breakfast sandwich. As I was waiting for my food I noticed the lady who was ringing up people had on clear gloves. She was ringing customers up handling cash , credit cards , pens, register computer screen and touching food WITH THE SAME PAIR OF GLOVES!!!! The other lady who was making my sandwich was doing the same thing. She added cheese on my sandwich with her bare hand after touching everything. I was completely grossed out on the fact money was being handled with food. I asked for a refund and told the lady I didn’t want to eat that food after I watched what was happening. She was extremely rude to me. I will never go back to this place again. Unfortunately good food doesn’t matter when it’s contaminated. As someone in the food industry I know you never handle food with money. It is absolutely gross! If you do decide to stop in pay close attention to how your food is being handled...

Was waiting for over a year for this corner to reopen. Been there today and had my usual order. The store is clean, smells good, service is experienced, nice cream cheese variety, homemade bagels right in front of me, nice griddle menu and all fresh products. Nice to meet you Freddy, I see this time around the management is not of rookies without a leader while on poor hygiene....as it was before.

Noticed a serious investment in the layout, the new equipments which says that you guys are not new in the business. Glad to have this golden corner back. You don't need luck when you know what you are doing, so serve the neighborhood the way it deserves, don't cut corners, and you will have plenty of loyal patrons.
