The pizza was okay. The beer was good. Do I think that I will be a repeat customer? No, I won't be. It's not that it was bad, but I have had really good pizza and it wasn't at Bloom Brew. It is an awkward scenario. Order drinks at the bar and then stand over there in line to order your pizza, and this is what your options are for tonight...... No table service and no atmosphere. Very cheap plastic utensils that really are not useful. When you are done, buss your own table..... It is just an awkward, unenjoyable experience. The friends we were with had been there and said the pizza was good. When they returned, with us, they said it was better last time. I'm not looking to be critical but it seems like it was done "on the cheap" with used equipment. The pizza oven looked like they bought it from a convenience store and sounded like a popcorn popper. There is a walk-in cooler (I guess that's what it is) in the main dining area that has an air conditioner thru the wall which is propped up on crates in the dining room. There was black all down the crates that we all wondered if it was black mold from the air conditioner dripping. They also had a dehumidifier and an air purifier in the same area which drew our attention to the black drip marks. I don't know, it's just weird and I can't figure out why "supposedly" people rated this pizza so high..... I honestly enjoyed Bloom Brew better when they had food trucks along the river. That had ambience, a summertime...
Read moreMy husband and I stumbled upon this place, and we feel really fortunate that we did. I first want to say that if you are reading a review that is older than 2 years, it is different because their taproom has only been open for 2 years. We were in town for an event at CalU and were looking for a place for a beer and a bite. This place is a true gem, and clearly the pride of the town. The people there were super friendly, and we had a wonderful experience. We met nearly everyone involved in their operation. Their beer is tasty--I particularly enjoyed their Schwarzbier (dark lager) as it reminded me of a Dunkel or a Doppelbock. They had a food truck that had delicious options for everyone! We want to get back to try their pizza. They only serve it on Mondays-Wednesdays currently, so we will have to plan that out! This is worth a stop regardless of the day of the week you're around that area. I hope you find it as delightful...
Read moreWe love this place year round and it’s a gem in our local area. The Detroit Style pizza is the best. Their team worked hard on the process and they have created a fantastic pizza that we’ve tried different toppings and have been delighted everytime. Bloom Brew never disappoints and their brewer is constantly adding new choices that are so good it’s hard for my hubby to choose because they have such a great selection. Personally I like wine which they source locally from Greenhouse Winery so I’m happy. Follow them on Facebook and see what’s going on and make a date night or afternoon on the weekends. Entertainment will be posted and local food trucks appear throughout the year. Give this establishment a try you won’t be disappointed and will definitely have a great go to place...
