El Dorado Cafe — Restaurant in West Odessa

First time here, I think it only opened up earlier this year, but with all the coronavirus I held off going into the place. Anyway me and my boss decided to go in and try the place out, staff was very friendly, the tables and chairs were folding tables and folding chairs, lacked any decoration at this time, decorations would make the place feel more warm and inviting. The chips and salsa was unique the salsa was a chopped vegi like mixture that was prepared the previous day and left to infuse the water with the juice and flavors was actually a very pleasant change. I had the chili rellenos plate it was really good the rice is kind of on the sweet side compared to other Mexican rice I've have had before but it had flavor, there was two peppers on the plate,my boss had one of the enchilada plates and there was four enchiladas on there and it pretty much took everything he could to eat that plate. Very satisfied with the food...

I use to come here all the time then just got busy in life but we decided to come after they did the remodel looks really nice and the food was good but...I honestly don't know how to feel about all the extra charges honestly don't think I'll come back but for the basic chips and salsa u have to ask for it then 3$ ok... I got enchiladas and was almost 3$ to add an egg on top... menudo was extra to add feet ...and the biggest complaint of all I was charged gratuity when it was only 3 of us and when I get my actual ticket they have to nerve to have tip suggestions based off my bill and the gratuity already changed to the bill the staff was nice no hate to them but I find it to be a...

First time there with Horrible service. Drive-thru took 30 minutes to order then after they took my order it took another 40 minutes to get it to my truck. Keep in mind I only ordered 4 cups of caldo de res. In which I paid $74 dollars for with tax and cc fee…and only 3 cups had 1 small piece of meat with a huge piece of bone! 1 cup had only vegetables ugh… seriously. Then to top off the parking there is dirt and everyone parked all crooked, owner asked me to drive to side to wait for the order…so I ended up blocking many cars to get out their dirt parking lot. I know its out west but come on…have more sense of management....
