El Taco Loco Birrieria — Restaurant in West Odessa

Huge waste of money. The tacos are the size of your palm. I get that they’re street tacos but they’re like appetizers. My 4 year ate three of the tacos and he’s still asking for more food. Pretty freaking ridiculous. We also got a torta de asado. For $13 dollars I’d expect for it to be a little bigger, have more meat, or come with fries. I gave half to my husband to hold us over until we get back home to eat. 😂 I even told the girl up front I’d be sharing with my son, you’d think she’d give me a heads up. The flavor was good otherwise. I specifically asked for the veggies to be put on the side due to my son’s allergies and surprise, surprise. Stuff like that ruins your meal and it’s irritating. Someone in our party got the quesabirria and they liked it. The flavor was good, the portion was good for $16. We also got an elote and that was disgusting, watery, cold, and basically just crema. Why they thought it was okay to serve that is beyond me. It’s common sense, you’d think, to serve hot food. The grilled chiles that came with our meals must’ve been stored in the fridge, uh, here’s a thought.. heat it up on the grill while you cook the rest of the stuff. Overall… not worth the drive, huge waste of money, service is whatever, and I really regret not taking pics. It was pretty freaking comical. And to add insult to injury you still have to clean your own table after tipping. Last thing, their cola fountain is broken we came out looking like leopards with spots all over our clothes. They saw it happen and still didn’t bother to fix it. Those caps you unscrew and adjust. Just lazy....

Update it 242 am and I got bad diarrhea and throwing up, bad cramps! Will be going to Hospital in morning! I will be reporting this to health department for food poision! It is exactly 12 hours Dr will confirm that I have food poision from this establishment!

I eat here almost everyweekand before they moved from on University! I never had a bad experience till today! I was only sat down less then 5 minutes and food arrived! The smell was so overwhelming it smelled so bad! My husband ordered Birra tacos and I ordered carne asada! At first I told my husband it's the onions don't eat them! Then I took a bite of my taco and yea it was the meat! I told my husband smell my taco and taste it make sure it's not me! He took a little taste and spit it out and told me let's go! So we left our food there! Yea there were several people sitting down eating I'm sure they could tell! Probably they could smell it too! I will never eat here again! They have no decency i honestly don't believe our food was made fresh in less then 5 minutes and I don't believe the cook or the girl who brought us our food could not smell it! it was so overwhelming and since they have no concern for one wellbeing there will never be...

Food is still good but their service sucks majorly. Drive thru should only be for call in pickups. Doesn’t make sense to place and stay at the window for +10 minutes to pick it up. Just change the window to pick ups only and you won’t have people spending 45 minutes at the drive thru line like I just did. And my order was already ready to be picked up. Spent 30 minutes waiting in line and another 15 at the actual window before they decided to ask me what my order was. When I told them I just saw them pick up my order from underneath the cash register counter and hand it to me. I could have left 15 minutes ago if they just greeted me at the window and asked about my order. It was an online placed order. It was already ready and just getting cold. And there were still 5 more vehicles behind. God knows how long they were going to wait. Also make sure to train your people to read the online orders correctly. What’s the point of adding options on the online orders if they don’t pay attention to them? Choose the option to make my tacos crispy, got soft soggy ones instead.
