Romano’s Restaurant and BYOB — Restaurant in West Penn Township

We chose 3 stars to balance the incredible food with the shady waitress. The food was absolutely wonderful, fresh, delicious, and melted in your mouth. We did wait for almost an hour for our food, but once it came it was worth it. Our waitress was an older lady with dark hair that seemed nice until we went to pay our bill. When she came to collect our bill, I even told her, "I do need change, please." She said ok, and took our cash and never came back. We had to get up and ask for our change. The strange thing was how she handled it. Normally if a person made an honest mistake, they would apologize, or at least say something, she acted bothered that we would even ask for change! Rude. Why she would just assume that we were going to tip her 45% for a meal is shady! We had asked for our change, she blew it off, and then acted annoyed when she had to get it and did not even offer any acknowledgement of her mistake. Not classy!! Amazing food, lame waitress. We'll be getting our food to go...

We stopped by on a whim on a Saturday evening to compare them to our current favorite pizza shop in the area. We've driven by several times and seen it lively and the bar area full. It was absolutely dead in there. Lights were totally off in the front and back bar and eating area. We thought they were closed until we saw light and movement in the take out area. It was freezing inside, the drink coolers were empty and dirty and the decor was outdated and dusty. The menu was pretty standard pizza shop fare. However everything we ordered was excellent. We got a Sicilian pizza, a calzone, and a sandwich. The portions were large, toppings were fresh, and the cheese was stretchy and delicious like you see on a cartoon. The man (probably Romano since he's featured in all the photographs on the wall) and the woman were both very friendly and welcoming. I don't think I'd want to dine in there, but we'll definitely be repeat take...

today i ordered a pizza for pickup when i arrived to pick it up it was not quite ready and the person rang up my purchase and it was higher than i thought it was going to be becuse I had looked at their website and the prices were reasonable so i decided to order a Hawaiian Pie (while the pie was good) the service at the counter was not so great and the attitude of the employee was also not very nice. When I questioned the price i said then why does your website menu have a different price( about 3 dollars less then i was charged)....and the answer from the employee was "our website has not been maintained in quite a while and I don't know how to get on our website or I would have already changed it" As I am sure the cashier is not the actual owner of the restaurant, I just think she could of been a little nicer to me when I questioned he price. I am sure I will not be returning here again to...
