This Dairy Bar is always spotlessly clean. They must have a requirement for smiling friendly staff because they're always great. At least when I've been here. Helpful, courteous, quick to get your order, clean about handling what they're doing with your food, and of course smiling. I've always been a stickler for that with ice cream cones . You had better be handling my cone with a napkin or a paper or be wearing gloves.... do not touch it with your hands and believe me people are watching. The ice cream here is rich and creamy and there is an abundance of varied flavors. There are a lot of prepacked flavors in the dairy cases to take home. Plus they will hand dip you something that's not already in the cases. They have specialty flavors for the season like pumpkin in the fall and for Christmas things like cinnamon, eggnog,& peppermint stick. Some of my favorites that you can't find in the store are apple pie, Orange pineapple, and their version of a mounds candy bar 😋. Funny thing when you don't know what to do with yourself look at your spouse your best friend or your other half and say let's go for a and ice cream sundae. Believe me you won't be disappointed there's a large variety of those Sundays..also many are very unusual. They're usually a decent size so we split one. That also makes for a nice lightly romantic evening or a fight if someone steals the maraschino...
Read moreAbout an hour ago I went to blue ribbon for their superior dairy desserts and to place a significant order that would easily exceed 35.00 to 50.00. I saw a sign that said cash only ... No debit or credit cards accepted. I asked if that was true for large orders. The response, abrupt at best, was, "there's a gas station over there get your cash there. Surprised and a bit irritated, I left and called the manager to ask if there was a way a large order could be paid by debit and if it would help to preorder. Before I had the chance to finish that second part of the request, the manager arrogantly stated,"We have never honored debit or credit cards and are not gonna start now. Have a good day," then she instantly hung up the phone. There are many other dairy creameries with equal and exceeding quality products and I will be patronizing these businesses that also recognize cash and debit cards are a form of tender. I wonder how much revenue is lost by B.R. When customers walk out the door bc of this antiquated policy. Ironically, a couple with 2 children were walking to go in as I left and I mentioned the cash only rule. They also turned and left.
The end result was, after a short drive to another establishment, we enjoyed amazing ice cream and other desserts never even...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I were dedicated customers all year long until one day we ordered our usual treat, chocolate peanut butter milkshakes. When we were served, unfortunately they were the consistency of actual milk. We asked the girl to please make them thicker, and not only did we receive an absolutely unwarranted attitude but then we were informed there was an extra charge for that. So, shakes cost over $20.00 plus attitude for asking the girl to give us what we ordered to begin with. A shake, not a glass of milk. I understand everybody has an off day but when my girlfriend nicely tries to tell the employee that an attitude wasn't warrantied, the rest of the staff began to give us attitude and defended the extra charge for a thicker shake. I started going there as a child and as I'm certainly no longer a child, I can't recommend them. Watery shakes, attitude, extra charge to make them a regular milkshake and a group of employees attitude at a cost of $23.00 for 2 milkshakes. Well with that said, unfortunately after 3 decades of loyalty to a local small town business, I honestly must say I shall never return here. Hopefully you'll have better...
