Big H on 45 — Restaurant in West Point

On our way home from a business trip in Meridian headed back North to Tupelo we THOUGHT we wanted barbeque. We saw Big H on Google. The reviews were good enough to convince us to stop. Not to mention, there were Dolmas on the menu.

We enjoyed the chicken shawarma plate with hummus, and dolmas. Also, enjoyed the gyro plate with potato salad and cucumber salad. The pita bread was delicious with the hummus and tzatziki. The shawarma over rice was like I was visiting someone's home. The dolmas were better than I have ever eaten anywhere. The flavor is robust! I actually purchased more on the way out the door. The portions are a testimony to how much the owner takes pride in his craft. The food is prepared right in front of you and it comes out very fresh.

The place was quite busy while we were there but no one waited very long. Even if you did - trust me, it's well worth the wait!

Give Big H a try if you love Mediterranean food. It is much better than the big box places - and the Yelp awards in the wall...

Found this spot on my drive to Gulf Shores from Kentucky, saw the reviews and figured it was great. This place completely exceeded my expectations. I got the Chicken Shwarma Plate with Corn Salad and Dolma and it was genuinely the best plate of food I’ve ever had. The rest of family all said the same about what they ordered. Words can put into perspective how good the Tzatziki and well seasoned chicken go together. Both sides were a 10/10. Vegetables tasted extremely fresh and had magnificent flavor. The owner and staff were extremely friendly, refilling our drinks multiple times. They even threw in a free Baklava to what we ordered. This little stop has such a friendly and homey atmosphere with some of the best food you’ll ever eat. I couldn’t recommend this place enough to anyone passing through or local. Your mind will be blown. 4.9 stars doesn’t do this...

Holy bananas!!!! What a find! I had to try the chicken shawarma because of all the great posts and I was not disappointed!! It was amazing and sooooo much food. Cucumber salad was light and lemony and delicious and the hummus was silky, creamy and unbelievably good. Husband had the pastrami sandwich and there was so much meat he almost couldn’t finish it. (And he can put down some pastrami) again delicious. And my niece had the kids grilled cheese. She spent the first two minutes just smelling it because it smelled and looked so good she said. I come through here twice a month and I will for sure be stopping...
