Yamato Japanese steak house — Restaurant in West Point

I ordered the Vegetable Fried Rice. Watching the cook prepare my order, he takes rice out of a warmer(?) and put it in a Styrofoam to go plate. Next, he took some cooked vegetables out of a different container and put them on a grill. Squirted something out of a plastic bottle on the vegetables, stirred them. Put the vegetables in the to-go plate. Then he put a laddle of teriyaki sauce on it. I asked the lady who took my order if that was my order because it was not what I had ordered. They gave me rice with a side of vegetables. The rice was not put on a grill, nor was it put into a wok. Unfortunately for me I had paid already and the so-called manager claimed that she could not refund me. She didn't know her job, and the menu, as she claimed, DID NOT read "a side of vegetables with fried rice. The next time I go to a Japanese steak house, if I don't see a person of the East Asian ethnic group in the establishment, then I will take my business elsewhere. Maybe they should have advertised their version of Japanese cuisine cooked by whomever we can hire. ENJOY your...

let me start off by saying i eat A LOT of sushi, some say i’m the ultimate sushi connoisseur. I was voted most likely to eat sushi, in my high school class. This place checks every single one of my boxes from my ultimate sushi eating guide for beginners!! The sushi was so fresh and moist and juicy it basically came out still flopping around on my plate. TERRIBLE and we won't be back. We were seated and brought menus & water. Three couples that came in about the same time as us were served. So, after 20 minutes, we left. There was plenty of wait-staff and even 3 different waiters walked by us serving others-not one of them even acknowledged that were there. Not even a "someone will be right with you." We are patient patrons and tip well, so good luck Yamato. You lost us. AND, the manager seems to know nothing about the food...
