Swagg Coffee Bar — Restaurant in West Richland

Usually I have a pleasant experience. The baristas here are always kind and helpful, and the food is fine. However my most recent experience has left me disappointed. I ordered a hot quad-shot pumpkin latte and it was excessively sweet to the point I couldn’t drink it. This is most likely a communication error on my part. I personally don’t like my coffee super sweet and prefer a strong coffee flavor, which is why I pay for an extra double shot. Most of the time the sweetness is not an issue when I order a quad-shot, today being the exception. However, I can completely understand why the barista would make it sweeter since most people tend to prefer their coffee on the sweeter side. But the result was that my drink was saccharinely sweet to the point of being inedible, so I wasted around $10 on a coffee I couldn’t drink. I’ll start with the positives.

The building is super nice and clean. The drinks are good. The location is great.

Now the negatives.

The price seems a little higher than other places. But the biggest negative I have is how rude one of the employees was when I went through the drive through a few weeks back. I received a coupon from my son’s school early October. I went to try and use it. And it was already expired. I hadn’t even thought to check since the school just gave it to me like a month ago. It’s not the fact I couldn’t use the coupon it was how rude the guy was about it. He pointed it out about how the coupon had already expired and I said oh my bad I didn’t notice and he rudely stated “well it’s printed on the coupon.” Like clearly, but again I didn’t even think to check since I just received it a month before. I wasn’t trying to get him to honor it or mad it was expired. His whole tone about it was so...

I didn't have any food, so I can't rate it. I had a coffee and it was excellent. We have a Nespresso machine at home, which makes such excellent coffee that I never want to go out to a cafe. I had a meeting, so it couldn't be avoided - and let's just say I was impressed. I got a hazelnut latte with oatmilk.

The music was loud AF in there - probably awesome for the staff. I feel so geriatric saying this, but it was like 2 ticks too loud. Ya know what I mean?

The owner or the manager was sitting with some people at one table but had his lap top on another table. I didn't count, but there are maybe six tables inside? It's probably not the best idea to take up those spots on a busy Sunday. But also, maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.

I loved all of the windows. I could see the nonstop flow of the drive thru and kept seeing people I knew.
