I ordered a drink with whipped cream and some food. An employee named Laz was preparing my drink. He had brown eyes, long curly brown hair tied in a ponytail, some facial hair, and looked to be around 30. He wasn’t wearing gloves—something another employee later confirmed is required.
As he added the whipped cream, I saw him get some on his hand, LICK IT OFF, and then continue making my drink. Maybe I wasn’t seeing things right, so I politely asked, “Did you lick whipped cream off your hand while making my drink?” He replied, “Uhhh I think so, why? Why does it matter?”—in an annoyed tone. I said it was unhygienic, and he sarcastically offered to remake it “with love.” “Do you want me to remake it with love? Would that make you feel better?” that was his response.
When I asked to speak to a manager, he said, “Nope.” I asked for his name (since he wasn’t wearing a name tag), and again he said, “Nope.” I asked why he was speaking to me like that, and he walked off.
While I waited for the rest of my food, he came back, leaned over the counter, stared at me in a way that felt genuinely menacing, and asked, “What do you want? Why are you still here?” I said I was just waiting for the rest of my order. “What did you even order!?”he asked, before finally handing it to me. He made me so uncomfortable.
I left to take my friend home—he was uncomfortable after watching all of that—then I came back to ask for the manager’s contact info. I sat quietly, not wanting to bother anyone, but an employee told me I had to leave because I was “intimidating” an employee. I’m 105 pounds and was literally just sitting there, wanting to get the manager’s contact information from another employee—meanwhile, Laz was the one being confrontational. The fact that he told the other employees that me, a short person weighing 105 pounds who was much shorter and younger than him, was intimidating HIM, is astonishing. He is the one that was intimidating me the whole time after contaminating my drink! Where did all that confidence go from before, Laz? Where did all the confidence go from when you didn’t care about contaminating my drink? Nasty. He’s a grown man and was acting like a child.
He was also slamming drinks onto the counter and ignoring other customer complaints. One woman was handed a drink that was JUST milk, when she had ordered coffee. He snatched it from her and remade it without even apologizing.
If Laz is reading this: Do your job right. I know fast food sucks sometimes, I have worked fast food before, and I have worked customer service jobs for years. Whether or not the job sucks, it’s not okay to lick your hands while making someone’s drink, refuse to give your name, or treat customers with hostility, especially because of something YOU did. The other employees were respectful and kind—I appreciate them, and I apologize if I inconvenienced them. But I won’t be coming back to a place I’ve visited since I was a kid. Not if this is how customers now get treated at this place. Also, like I said, he refused to give me his name, so I got his name from another employee. I don’t know if Laz is his actual name, but that’s what the...
Read moreI was at the drive thru behind another customer waiting over 10 minutes when I realized no one even took his order yet. After another 8 minutes I can finally hear the employee take his order. Once I pulled up I also sat at the box for an additional 10 minutes and still no one asked for my order. I was waiting a total of 28 minutes and decided to get out of line and just park in front and go inside. Once inside I saw ONLY 1 employee and the young man was doing the best he could but again I waited for 5 minutes waiting patiently to be asked to take my order. I was extremely upset because the store leaves only 1 employee to take drive thru orders including filing them and take customers orders inside! I'm extremely patient but I was so stupid for wasting a little over a half hour to order. I have never had this happen at this location since opening and sadly I will not return. It's a shame the manager would put this employee completely alone and not have another employee working and while I'm extremely upset I am not upset with the employee but EXTREMELY Upset and FURIOUS with the manager for doing this to an employee! Shame on the manager at this location because many cars finally left after...
Read moreI had a very bad customer experience today...I have actually had several bad experiences here but for some reason keep returning. I guess cause it's the only one close to me but I avoid it whenever I can and planning to not go there anymore. The last time, I placed an order on the app for drive through and arrived about 8 mins later. I told them I placed an order and they told me to pull around. There was a line and the wait on each vehicle was longer than usual (which is already long here usually). Once at the window, the young man said I owed a total. I informed him I already paid on the app. He apologized and walked away and just then started to make the sandwich I had ordered. A women came and handed me my tea. I tasted it and it wasn't green tea like I ordered, it was black. I then informed the women it wasn't correct and she went to make me the correct one. In total if took around 20 mins and made me run behind on a...
