Went there for many months, mostly to shoot some pool on the weekends. Shaved head bartender, (don't know his name), suddenly became abusive and hostile one night/morning near closing time -- back in April 2013. An attitude one would expect from a patron getting on his beer muscles -- but certainly not from an employee. I'm left only with the idea that he confused me with someone else -- a troublemaker or such. At 60 yrs old, I have never encountered anything like it or him. Three, (3), different people (that I don't know) approached me soon after to ask what it was all about, and I was at a loss -- and still am. All three wrote their names and numbers down in case I needed witnesses. An older married couple (that I also don't know) offered me the business card of their lawyer. I haven't followed up -- is it really worth the hassle? In summary, I am certain that there was one main reason behind his actions -- and that is because he could -- to me. I am non-threatening and peaceful -- and it seemed he either genuinely confused me with someone else (but he called me by name), or he sought to show someone how tough he is and chose someone not able to meet him nose to nose. Haven't been back -- my only power being that of...
Read moreFantastic little local bar and grill, and unexpected venue for surprising local talent. I was fortunate enough to enjoy the musical talents of Zachery Sovine and an ,I'm told very recently formed, trio although the ease with which they readily bridge the gaps between ALL popular genres would defy the appearance of any lack of familiarity as one would have certainly pictured such fluid unity taking years. Catch them locally, you won't be disappointed, no matter what type or style of music you love, you will hear it represented along with some truly unique adaptations. From gangsta-rap bluegrass to acoustic death metal you really won't know what to expect. And while you visiting Easy Street be sure not to miss the patio. With gorgeous views overlooking the Kanawha River and a really laid-back atmosphere permeating throughout it's an experience I intend to repeat soon. Might see you...
Read moreHas the best fries (I don't recommend if you are not fond of salt, which I am Not). The 1st thing I noticed was before opening the door was the door sign that said they allow smoking (which i am) However, I didn't know I was walking on into a bar, so I don't recommend dining in. As a bar it seemed great. Very open (where it use to be a bowling alley) with a stage, I'm assuming for karaoke or live Entertainment but I can not confirm that, as I did not see either. But Don't just think of this place as somewhere to drink as they do sell food. My experience so far has been good. The amount of food is well proportioned...
