Mediterranean Breeze Restaurant — Restaurant in West Virginia

Had a great experience at Mediterranean Breeze today! The menu is tantalizing and met all expectations. We had a difficult time narrowing down our selections and our lovely server, LJ made some great suggestions. Everything we ordered was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Serving sizes were comfortable with plenty of opportunities to personalize your meal.

If you've never had falafel or are looking to try it, do it! Even if meatless isn't your thing, these lovely balls of fried chickpeas and spice are absolutely delectable and a great starter. The crab stuffed mushrooms were soo good and melt in your mouth, especially if you're like me and didn't wait for the sizzling to stop before grabbing one.

The kebabs were so good, flavorful and tender and are paired with delicious vegetables and rice.

Last but not least, the pizza. OMFG, I love pizza and in my opinion, wood fired pizza is the best. This one lives up to my expectations. My kids only got cheese and pepperoni but it took every ounce of self-restraint and love for my kids to not steal their food. If wood fired isn't your thing, they also have traditional with several crust types to choose from.

The atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant was warm, cozy and quaint with a lovely covered patio overlooking the river. I will regularly be sitting there.

All in all, we had a lovely visit with them and are kicking ourselves for overlooking this great restaurant that we passed by for years without ever noticing. Well, we notice now and it may not account for much, but we loved it. Keep up the great work. We all unanimously agreed that we would be returning regularly.

Shout out to Mike, the manager, for coming out to check on us and ensuring our meal was just how we wanted and that we had a great time.

After reading the reviews I was psyched to try this restaurant out with my mother. Wow, was I ever wrong. This place was absolutely terrible, perhaps the worst plate of food have had in years at a sit down restaurant. Ordered a very expensive plate- a surf and turf shish kabob ($25) . Shrimp (3) was tasteless and the meat (paltry amount, btw) was not only tough, the biggest chunk was completely raw inside (ordered medium well). The rice was bland and the medley of vegetables old, tired and tasteless. When I informed the server about the raw meat on the biggest chunk on my plate I was informed, “that never really happens, I’ll inform the manager”. Nothing was addressed or offered as compensation by the manager for the raw meat that I could not eat on the expensive plate. An apology would have been nice, maybe a free dessert even. Nothing. There were maybe two other tables but nobody came over to address the raw meat had been served or that I had said anything about it to the very nice server (she tried). The “side salad” was comprised of head lettuce (a few tired tired tired spring mix pieces were also in there, I suppose for color?) some shredded cheese, two cucumber slices and a few croutons. Geesh. Two small positives:The house dressing was good (but their Greek salad game was WEAK!) as was my mother’s tabouli salad. My advice: don’t waste your time or money on this place unless you like to pay a lot for subpar food and like to leave...

Sometimes life creeps up on you and just bops you one that discombobulates you 🤪! My visit here was on 10/23 and it has taken me a while to write this review! My apologies to the owner, manager and employees! Mediterranean Breeze was such an excellent restaurant to go to that I just have to at least post pictures and do a review!!!

First, MW and I arrived at a time when you could sit comfortably out on the enclosed dining deck and enjoy the river! It is just so relaxing and enjoyable 😉! And there was plenty of seating available and to choose from.

We started off with grape leaves and stuffed mushrooms. The grape leaves was a new experience for MW. A different taste and - for some - may or not be your thing - but for me a welcomed treat! ☺️ 😋 The stuffed mushrooms were excellent!!! I then had a fire baked pizza... yum, yum! I don't have my receipt handy, so - at the moment cannot recall names and such. Sorry!!!☺️😚 However, I can say that the food and service that evening was excellent and when I am back in that "neck of the woods", I will definitely drop in for another meal!!!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing and I took plenty of pictures!!! Also, the restaurant and facilities were very clean! Plenty of parking out front and to the side.
