Recently we started planning our wedding for 6/2023 in Clear Spring, MD and encountered difficulty in finding a reasonably priced caterer. We wanted to be unique and fell in love with the concept of pizza for the reception but a company quoted us $34 a person. In a panic I pulled up a map and started calling pizza companies with not much success, then I called King's.
in a welcomed and comforting breath of fresh air the staff got me to Sal, who kindly assured me it's your wedding whatever you want we can make it happen. Sal proceeded to provide me his number actively encouraging to reach out with any questions, and sure enough I would reach out and ask if such pizza or food option was possible and he would respond with a resounding of course!
My fiancé and I made the trip out this past weekend to try the pizza places before we decided for the wedding. In meeting Sal the passion, the care, the enthusiasm emanated from the staff and Sal. The company cares for it's community, he welcomed every patron that came in, and with honesty guided us through catering for our wedding.
Several times he encouraged us to bring our family for dinner, he gave us a jar of sauce as wedding gift, and kept asking us if he can provide us lunch. In telling us the story of the company my fiancé and I looked at each other, as Sal left to show us the pan size for catering, tried a bite of delicious pizza and happily agreed no need to try other food this was it.
With confidence and comfort we were rested in knowing we not only had food to feed our guests, but fantastic service, and delicious food to share with our guests. Also I forgot my jacket and Sal proceeded to call me and kindly state no mam wait in your car, he walked my jacket to our truck in the parking lot. What service, what passion,...
Read moreBorn and raised in Brooklyn, I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by some of the best pizza in the world. Pizza has always been a big part of my life, and one of my favorite hobbies is trying out slices from as many pizzerias as possible across the tri state area. Recently, I moved to West Virginia, and naturally, I was curious to see how the pizza scene stacked up. I have to say, this place is a solid option for pizza in WA, definitely not bad at all! The first thing that stood out to me was the size of the slice. It’s incredibly generous, easily filling enough for one person, and they don’t skimp on portions. The sauce is on point, balanced just right with a nice flavor profile that doesn’t overpower the other ingredients. As someone who’s picky about sauce after all these years, I was impressed with the ratio here. The crust is thin and really enjoyable, reminiscent of a classic New York slice, which was a pleasant surprise (remember to ask for well done or else it won’t be) It’s light, crispy at the edges, and has that satisfying bite I always look for. My only critique is that the cheese ratio is a bit heavy for my liking. Don’t get me wrong, I love cheese, but there’s just a bit too much of it, and that tends to make the crust soggy in the center. However some people like this although It takes away from that nice crisp texture that I’m used to back home, but I can’t say it’s a complete deal breaker. For a WA pizza spot, this place holds its own, and I’d still recommend it if you’re in the area. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere has a cozy, inviting vibe that makes you want to sit and stay for a while. This place is serving up some good pizza, I’m glad I gave it a try and I’ll definitely be back. It’s a great find for WV and definitely...
Read moreWe used to own a pizza and full-serve restaurant, so I know what I’m talking about when I say King’s New York Pizza in Falling Waters is tops.
Every time we’ve been in the restaurant has been spotless. They have always had enough servers to ensure that our orders are taken and delivered to our booth quickly.
King’s has a wide variety menu from sandwiches, subs, pizzas, spaghetti, salads, soups, and more complicated veal, chicken, and seafood dishes. Their salads have always been fresh and crisp and I love that! Yesterday I was in the store and had their special shrimp bisque soup. It was sooo delicious! Very nice flavor - seasoned and thickened perfectly with a good amount of shrimp, and in a very large, satisfying bowl. Then came main dish the Veal Francese. I was expecting two pieces of veal at the most but I was served four large pieces! Oh my! I took half of my soup and most of the food and salad home for the next day. I had no idea the portions were so large because when my husband and I go we usually order a steak and cheese sub or one of their delicious pizzas.
My server, Frank, provided outstanding service keeping my ice tea topped off without me asking, and checking on me the right amount of times to make sure I didn’t need anything else. Frank made me feel very special and pampered.
We definitely will be going back again soon. The owner and the others who work there give us wonderful service and we can always count on the food being fresh...
