I'm not quite sure where the issue is.
Went to this location due to being 24 hr and the other one in Ripley not being open around the clock.
Took 45 minutes for them to get through 4 orders of cars to get to me and whoever was eating inside the building. Lets say it was 10 orders across a good 26 people.
As the other reviews pointed out, I should have checked my bag, because something was absolutely missing.
Now, the one guy here was willing to divulge that the team was only 3 members and IDK how but I could have sworn he told me they were 5 hours behind schedule because of how short handed staff was.
He was profesional about fulfilling the missing item, no hassle and proper apology formalities.
I don't think that is the root cause of issues. Something deeper is clearly wrong at this location. Be it a hiring issue in some form, etc.
The one good thing to leave on with this location is that because they were so swamped the food wasn't left out to sit on my mobile order. McDonalds doesn't do time of arrive time selection and while most stores 'should' know better to await people to arrive before prepping, my experience with Ripley has been that they'll prep it when they feel convenient even if that means your fries are getting cold before you even arrive and not inder the heat lamp like they should. This location would love to be staffed heavy enough to be that overly efficient.
I think the low head count is also part of how the burgers we had from here were so dry. You have a limited staff trying to juggle between stations for multiple orders and thus if the patties are left too long they are going to dry out.
Concern is if its the mentalities of the people applying and getting into employment here, company policy, or something else as to why they are seemingly so often short staff and incapable of accuracy in fulfilling orders despite their limited pace granted head count?
I hope they can figure out how to turn things around for this location. I'm going to avoid them to the best of my ability for the next year. This will include harshly reminding my family members of they even suggest this place that no -I don't advise it. They just don't seem able to handle the customer traffic that comes their way, so this is the best course of action I can do to legit help both sides in...
Read moreThe atmosphere is nice after the remodel. They have 2 self order computers, I recommend using those if you're in a rush. The staff don't come to you if you need something, you'll have to flag them down. They're mostly friendly. The food is basic McDonald's food, you get what you pay for. If the fries aren't salty enough or if they're cold, they'll just take them back and dip them again, not give new ones(my personal experience). A bit unsanitary really. It's a nice place to stop if you want a quick bite to eat, but don't expect ice cream as it's almost always "broken". The soda was low on carbonation this time. The sweet tea is very good, if you don't like alot of sugar I recommend doing half sweet, half unsweetened. There is a loves truck stop and a Chester's chicken place attached to this McDonald's. There's two other gas stations I would choose before this one in the area if I'm only getting gas. The bathrooms are normally clean, although the last time they did stink pretty bad. There's a small computer on the wall where you can rate the cleanliness of the bathroom, so that's cool. Overall is okay, not the best, not the worst, with...
Read moreI understand the need to clean, however this establishment had someone cleaning the floors right outside of the bathrooms when walking out at around 3pm. The place was not full or busy. While there was a cone up to say it was slippery, you dont notice it when you 1st walk out. My 4 yr old daughter slipped & while trying to catch herself grabbed the rim of the door & had her hand crushed by the door when it closed. Her nail ripped off and was bleeding. I asked for help from the staff & there was no sense of urgency. Also asked for a first aid kit and they did not have one. All they gave me was a bandaid & some ice. I understand accidents can happen but the lack of unpreparedness was evident and we were not pleased. Along with the fact they did not seem to care she was bleeding all over the floor that they just cleaned. I do not expect full medical care but staff should at least have a medical kit & protocol set in place...
