The West At Stratford — Restaurant in West Virginia

Thru the toughest circumstances in years, Charlie and his Top Hand Jeremiah/ staff have brought The West / Stratford Springs back from closure to a thriving Special Occasion, Dining Room and Sports Bar second to none. The menu has such a variety that everyones taste are satisfied. This only works with a cooking Staff with pride,drive and respect for each customers dish . The West has an extensive Salad menu that I order from weekly. My personal favorite is the Greek Salad with Blackened Chicken topped with Charlie's Greek Dressing but there are literally over a dozen choices. It pains me to write a negative review. However, after experiencing 24 hours of food poising-my wife and I will NOT be returning or ordering takeout ever again from The West. The days of fresh food from the original Alpha are a thing of the past. Not only the food poisoning we experienced 4/15/22 that ultimately wrecked our Easter Weekend- the most upsetting is the lack of empathy from The West management when bringing this to their attention. Be warned Ohio Valley-- the food is subpar at best and most likely heated, cooled, re-heated, and cooled multiple times. A perfect breeding ground for bacteria.

If I could rate The West lower than one...

After having completely ruled out Stratford without a second thought our whole planning process was changed after going to a the bridal show to just meet vendors. After an hour with Jeremiah, their event coordinator, seeing the way he has redesigned The West and realizing just how much is included with the venue rental, we booked on the spot. We have met with Jeremiah two more times within a month to give our families a tour and to iron out details for our wedding day, which is still over a year away. The value for the price is unmatched.
