I’ve lived in Metrowest for two decades and finally visited La Basha, determined to find some delicious local dinner that wasn’t the expected choice of Italial, Asian or upscale gastropub. What a find! The interior is tasteful and comfortable, but it’s the food that’s the star. We got the “pupu” platter to sample all the different apps and we couldn’t decide which was more delicious; the kibbe, the hummus, the falafel or the babaganoush. Eating them all in combinations wrapped in the complimentary pita solved that. And the main courses were super flavorful and generous. Our table tried just about every kabob, each seasoned specifically ( too often places slather it all in the same marinade) and my father went bonkers for the chicken shawarma served over salad. But definitely save room for the baklava, served warm and absolutely irresistible. If I have one small critique it would be that we came In when the dining room was about 3/4 full and the waitresses (there were two) were delightful, but definitely were working...

El Basha is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and rich with the scents of authentic Mediterranean cuisine. But what truly elevated our night was the exceptional service — and for that, we owe a huge shoutout to Catherine Mechael.

Catherine wasn’t just a waitress — she was a guide, a host, and honestly, the calm in the storm when we were overwhelmed by all the delicious options. Cool as a cucumber, she walked us through the menu with such grace and patience, helping us pick the perfect combination of dishes we never would’ve discovered on our own. Her recommendations were absolutely spot on — every bite was bursting with flavor.

If you’re headed to El Basha (and you absolutely should be), ask for Catherine. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. This place is a five-star experience from...

El Basha in Sudbury is hands down one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I’ve ever been to. From the moment you walk in, the warm atmosphere and amazing aromas set the tone for a perfect meal. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavor — the hummus was silky smooth, the lamb was perfectly cooked, and the portions were generous without sacrificing quality.

But what really made the night unforgettable was Catherine, our server. She was absolutely phenomenal — attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel like family. She anticipated everything we needed before we even asked and brought such great energy to the table. You can tell she really cares about her guests and takes pride in what she does.

If you’re anywhere near Sudbury and craving delicious Mediterranean food, El Basha is a must-visit. And if you’re lucky enough to have Catherine as your waiter, you’re in for an...

It’s been a while since we dined here. The restaurant looks different, nice renovation. We ordered drinks and they were not made correctly and way too strong. The food was not authentic and wasn’t appetizing. The shawarma was made of some reprocessed beef and not how it is made authentically. The kafta was ok but the cinnamon flavor was overpowering and the rice was super bland. We got bread but no oil/butter or any kind of dip. I was quite dissatisfied with the quality of food and drink. The waitress seemed aware of our dissatisfaction and offered complementary dessert choice, chose the Baklava and that was delicious. I am sad to say that I won’t come back as this is not authentic middle eastern food at all.

What an amazing little gem of a place! Sad that we didn't find this place sooner. We went to the Westboro location where there is no bar. This didn't stop us since there is liquor store right next door! We spent a fraction of the cost for alcohol and had the best time. They were bursting at the seams with customers but there wasn't a frown to be seen. The food. Oh the food! I this is the first time we went to a restaurant and we still have more vegetarian options to choose for the next visit! This place has certainly gained a few more loyal customers. What are you waiting for? Go and have the best time!
