My wife and I go out to lunch / dinner quite often, at least twice a week. This past Monday, we decided to take an hour drive to the Waters Edge. We were interested in seeing the place, having lunch, and potentially booking a future stay. We were greeted at the outdoor restaurant, Sunset Bar And Grille and were told the bar was open. We found a small cafe table and waited for about ten minutes, no acknowledgement. Went to the bar and sat there, no acknowledgement. Went back to the host who assured us we would get service and told him we would prefer to be seated because, there was no service in the bar area. He apologized, seated us, and assured us he would send a server over to us. 10 minutes, nothing. We watched s other tables around us were served. I finally flagged down a server, Tara, and asked if she could send over our waitress. Apparently, she was responsible for our table, but didn’t realize it. Apologized and took our order. We decided to order everything at once, given the level of service we had received. About 15 minutes later Tara comes by and told me for some reason, my drink order didn’t go through. I asked her to please bring over the waters we ordered. 10 minutes later, Tara comes by and told me they did not have the spirit I ordered. I told here to forget the drinks, just bring the water with lemon and our meals. Water came ten minutes later, no lemon. Tara said she would go to the bar to get some. Another 10 minutes, she passes by many time with drinks, lemons, etc to serve others. I flag her down and again requested lemon. 5 minutes later, the lemon arrives. 10 minutes later, someone else brings our app and meals out. Tara never returned to ask if we needed anything. The original host checked in and we told him we would appreciate some tarter sauce, as our server has abandoned us. Time for the bill, Tara reappears, says she sorry for the delay. I explain the delay was not the issue. It was that she ignored us, did not follow up at all. She said she was very busy, too many tables. I told her I understood, but the other tables were tended to. We were not. She repeated she was very busy. I gave her no tip. Her table side pay device ran out of paper. She said she will return with my receipt. When she returned, she literally threw the receipt at me, no words and sped off.

I was insulted. Waters Edge, you need to stop hiring “children”. We expect more from your establishment. By the way, we are not going to look into spending any time there, as long as the help is of the caliber we experienced. You...

Our waitress was very sweet. That's it. The host? Manager? (Greasy long gray hair older gentleman) was so incredibly rude I was flabbergasted. We were just wrapping up lunch and paying our bill when an older couple seated themselves at a bigger round table (6 top)...he swooped over and chastised them. With an incredible attitude asked what they were doing just seating themselves. Telling them they needed to wait for their entire party before he could even entertain their presence. He was immediately aggressive and unaccommodating. It was the most atrocious behavior I've seen with someone in hospitality. He had every right (and I did agree with him) that they couldn't take up a 6 top table for 2 of them....BUT the way he spoke to them was so gross I will never go back there. I had my two babies with me, but I wish I had spoken up. I did tell the older couple that he was so so rude to them. I felt really sorry for them. They didn't deserve the...

The food is good, however the service and view are amazing. Today I enjoyed the lobster roll and oysters and my wife had a lobster roll with gluten free bread due to her gluten allergy. Its fantastic the restaurant had gluten free bread. However, the lobster was somewhat dry and tasted a little tough around the edges as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for too long or was several days old and was reheated to the point of dryness/toughness. At $38/roll, you need to have fresh lobster out of the shell from that day. When you’re competing with amazing seafood shacks down the street like Johnny Ad’s or Skippers who always have fresh tasting lobster, you need to serve the same at a $38 price point. Everything else...

I went here with a few friends. The food is average in the Sunset Grill. We had drinks, dinner, and appetizers. The drinks were very good! I had a couple frozen drinks and they were great! Dinner and apps were average. The view is spectacular!!! The gardens are gorgeous!! We went when they had a band playing so we danced and had a blast. It was a lot of fun. Not extremely crowded either. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive. Great service!

Was randomly recommended to check out this place by some locals. It was a great place to stop for a bite to eat on the water! Our waitress Sophia was super kind and personable. The food and drinks were satisfying. The prices have definitely gone up over the years compared to the menu picture on Google so keep that in mind when you visit.
