My girlfriend and I really like this place. The pizza is good, the subs are better, and we like their wings too (obviously we don't order all at once lol). About 2/3 of the time, our order is perfect, the delivery time is reasonable, and there are no issues. However, sometimes the place has its hiccups. For instance, we called to order at 8:30-8:45 on a Wednesday night and couldn't get through. No problem, maybe an influx of callers, tried again 15 minutes later and no answer. I guess we're not getting Classics today?
So that leaves me at a bit of a crossroads. I like their food and their simplified menu is easy to order from. Most of the time the place is great, but when the service isn't great, it's like REALLY not great and you can even read the 1 star reviews and see it's all based on a hilariously bad customer service experience after a string of good experiences. Sometimes the staff just doesn't want our money. Not much we can do about it.
If the place is doing its thing, you get relatively good food and relatively good service. If it's not, I can't really say I'd recommend ordering from somewhere else. You'll literally have to because they won't be able to order here. Basically, whether you eat Classics or not is solely dependent on whether the staff that night feels like taking your order. That's not a great look, to be honest, but the food is good when they do decide to let you buy some of it.
I'm exaggerating a little bit. In the 6 times we've ordered there, we've only had a problem once. 5 out of 6 isn't bad, but it's not great either, especially when you're really in the mood for it.
I'll order again when I can and I do recommend the place to others...but keep a backup plan in case the staff doesn't feel like taking an...
Read moreWhy did I wait 9yrs to try CP? The phone recording encourages online ordering, but this first timer had questions. After friendly, helpful ordering, our order was delivered by their own delivery people. Prompt, and friendly service again. Pizzas arrived still over 130° hot. Thin crust that had a golden brown bottom, with just enough crisp to avoid limp or brittle. The dough was NOT over-mixed to create that gummy/chewy bite. Sauce was right on point with flavors of garlic and herb, rather than sugar. Cheese has a nice gooey pull without that rubbery snap-back. The enzo pepperoni and sausage was vividly flavored, and paired well with the sauce. We tried the recommended Italian sub pizza which uses the creamy Italian dressing for the sauce base. I’m so glad we did. It was a big hit. Our second visit we did carryout. Small place with a small grab & go private parking lot. Again with the friendly staff. No tables, no chairs. You pay, you go. Small interior for customers to loiter. I did like that they had the touchless TapPay machine to use your phone. Added a sub this visit. Worried the sub didn’t even measure out to 7” was for not. The double meat & cheese Italian sub did not suffer a loss of contents. Well worth the price. I do require more than 2 slices of tomato, so I will order extra next time. Lastly, I always recommend people bring an insulated bag to carry your food home. You want that food as hot and delicious as the way they prepared it for you. Hope this helps....
Read moreThis was our first time having Classic Pizza and it was average tasting. But, where they really lost me is in a few other aspects. First, they screwed up our rather simple order (wrong toppings, wrong flavor of wings). Second, they were WAY understaffed. I was told my order would be ready in 25 minutes. I arrived exactly 25 minutes from the phone call, and waited another 15 to get my food, and I was not the only one there in the same situation. There were some other unhappy customers who were waiting as well. I heard the girl who was answering the phones tell someone that it was 2 hours for delivery. 2 hours?!? I could not imagine having to wait that long on a normal Sunday evening. I heard that they are under new management. They better get their act together or it seems they may be losing a lot of business. I know we will not be ordering from there in the near future. I'll take Minico's (right next door) any day of the week...
