Can I have a "Sushi" without fish 🐟 please? Lol. that's what I ask when I go to a sushi place. I did the same here. And they served exactly what I asked. Lol
This place is awesome. Very vegetarian friendly. They accommodated most of my modification requests.
We had some veggie rolls, veggie tempura, fried rice and nagayaki udon with only veggies.
The best veggie roll was sundried tomato roll - amazing combination of sundried tomato, creamy avocado and cream cheese and crunch cucumber. We got that deep fried. Amazing..
Artichoke roll was regular, I love artichokes but I could not taste them in this. But it was good.
Served with pickled ginger. The wasabi was not strong enough but that's ok. They had two kinds of soy sauce, regular and low sodium.
The vegetable tempura was one of the best we had, truly fresh veggies and it was super crispy but not oily at all. Shows that they use good quality oil.
The fried rice was regular, nothing special or no complains.
Veggie spring rolls were good. My son loved the plum sauce.
The Nabeyaki udon was the only not one of the best kind of dish. It was too sweet for me. may be some ppl will like it. We got the meet replaced with veggies.
The service was generally good, friendly and attentive. The girl who helped us was pretty new, she did forget few things had to remind her few things but she checked with us several times.
The owner stopped by couple times as well. She took my suggestion/request for adding toffu roll on the menu. She graciously agreed and might even do it.
The place itself is super cozy. Some tables and 4 or 5 counter spots. But nice and simple decor. Japanese accent,, dah!!!
Ample parking in front and around back.
I love this place. I think I will...
Read moreTerrible food. I placed a $95 order. After a 40 min drive. 20 there 20 back. The pot stickers were burnt and black. The fried rice tasted burnt. The spicy tuna did not taste fresh. The salmon skin wasn't crispy or fresh. Miso soup was Salty. Maybe they had a bad day. But after calling to complain I was told the owner would call me back. After about an hour of waiting.( My Appetite was gone at this point. And I haven't had a solid meal in 3 days, bc I've been working doubles.) another 20 minutes there to return the food. I see that they are slow and about to close. After give them food I was again told they have no authority to refund me. I told them we ate some it plus we kept the saki. So just refund me half the money still took about 5 minutes on the phone with owner. An attitude from some guy in braces for no reason. I'm the upset customer. Not one sorry that your not happy. Nothing , but he spent 2more minutes doing some math, & writing something down. Turns me gives me the money with no comment. I own a restaurant as well. Upset customers happen, you can't please every one. I will usually offer to remake the food for the costumer or offer some kind of free be. Why? Bc I want them to return. Obviously they don't want me to...
Read moreI mistakenly ordered the wrong item, I ordered something that I had never seen before instead of what I wanted which was the tobiko…. I later discovered (though Google told me) that, that is not what it is called, it was actually called masago… I apologized for the HONEST mistake but one of the older woman who works their went on to be VERY rude and when i politely asked if they could correct it and I even assured them that I would pay the difference she aggressively said to me, “WELL WE GAVE YOU WHAT YOU ORDERED” and went on to barely make any eye contact and continued to be passive aggressive and rude and the cook that was in the front at the time also began yelling at me or to be more specific I will say his tone was a bit aggressive. I used to love this place but after this experience I refuse to go back. I felt offended considering that it was an honest mistake and I even attempted to do more research before calling to place my order to make sure that I did not confuse anyone. I mentioned fish eggs and I also believe that I even mentioned that they were orange… the situation could/should have gone better but I guess that they felt the need to project their anger onto me over...
