Being new to the area, I was looking for a "mom and pop" style pizza place to stop into for a nice evening dinner (I get super tired of the typical chain restaurant style pizza). I feel that I definitely found that with this place. I was initially a little off put because of the location of this place—it's randomly on the end of what many would consider to be a "strip mall". The best part about it being located where it is—is that there is an ample amount of parking available (and you can never go wrong with plenty of parking). When you walk in, it almost feels like you're stepping back in time, into a place that you used to visit when you were a kid—the nostalgia is real here, just walk in—you'll feel it, I promise. Another neat feature is that when you first walk in, there is a dedicated carry out area, that is separate from the sit down area of the restaurant. This may also be one of the only "mom and pop" style pizzerias in the area that also offers delivery, which is also super convenient and nice to see. Once you realize you actually haven't stepped back in time, you can sit down and order some pretty darn good pizza. There is nothing fancy, no crazy ingredients like you will find at some of the bigger pizza chains, just a simple good slice of pizza. They also have really good bread sticks (make sure you add cheese, and thank me later). On top of that, they have some ranch dressing that is also really, really good.
When all is said and done, this place is a good, solid place to get a slice of pie (pizza). It's clean, the staff is friendly, attentive, and the food is fresh and hot. If you're in the area, stop in for an adult beverage and some good old neighborhood pizza. Cheers!
Sidenote: This place does get busy, so you may want to plan accordingly if you want to stop in during normal...
Read moreWe visited recently and found ourselves wanting to leave right away. Our waitress, Gabby, did an excellent job all night even though she was the only one serving almost 40 people. We ordered appetizers and were seriously dismayed. We got the sampler and everything was overcooked, even though it was early and only a few patrons in the place. The bar ran out of 3 different liquors that night because their delivery had not come. But being around the industry for a long time I knew they had other options. You would think they would keep a full stock bar when you have a party of 40 plus a band and their followers coming in. Poor judgement. The pizza we were served rated on of the top ten worst pizzas I have ever eaten. Tasteless.. sawdust would have been better. Through all of that, our waitress kept a smile and did her job as best she should. Management needs to look at staffing more people on nights they know they are going to be full and check the quality of food they serve. Also, keep a well stocked bar as I probably would have spent an additional $100 just in drinks and...
Read moreGot a coupon in the mail for a 1 large pizza with cheese and 1 item, $10.99. Additional toppings are $1.75 each. I called multiple times after 4pm but they never answered the phones. So I went in to order. The kid behind the counter told me they have a party of 40 people inside and they are short staffed so they had to turn off the phones. I understand being short staffed so I said no big deal. I told the kid I had a coupon and he said they had a better deal. 3 items for $18+. I told him that with the coupon it would only be $15.36 for 3 items. $10.99+$3.50 (2 extra toppings)= $14.49. $14.49 x .06(tax) = .87. $14.49 + .87= $15.36. So he punched in what I wanted then told me it would be $16.42. I told him that was wrong. He told me the coupon was wrong. If my math is wrong then somebody please tell me. But I'm pretty sure it's not wrong. I read other reviews where people had similar issues. It was at that moment I decided to NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN. Plenty of other places...
