Today, I went to pick up my grandmotherās order. I always help her out due to her mobility issues. I had her name, but couldnāt remember her order but she always orders catfish. I told the cashier her name and she asked what the order was. I said catfish with a very unsure tone and she repeated back to me 4 piece catfish. She brought the food to me and told me the total. I told her that she had paid online and the cashier shook her head no. I paid for the food and walked outside to the car. In the car, I had my grandmother pull up her order, which was both different and had already been paid for. I took the bag back in along with a bank statement showing that the food had been paid for. A black lady standing at the counter was looking for her 4 piece catfish and as Iām walking in the cashier points at me and says āshe already picked it up.ā (Iām black as well) I explained to her that this wasnāt the correct order and I had actually paid for it twice. She said ābut I asked you.ā I told her I wasnāt sure but I had the name still. I told her the correct order and she looked at the receipts to find the correct name. She explained that I will get my refund and I said thank you. As iām walking out, she says to the customer āshe just took your order.ā My problem is that I didnāt ātakeā anything. I was given the order and will admit it was my fault for not remembering, because I thought the name was enough. Secondly, I didnāt appreciate her tone while talking to me and the fact that she spoke to another customer. This experience has me very flustered especially because I was trying to help someone else
EDIT: I never received my refund...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a hankering for some fish. After searching for a place, I decided to come here. I placed an online order for two large orders of Cod fish which set me back $23. When I arrived the inside of the restaurant was tidy with a simple decor. This is mainly a takeout restaurant although there are two tables for dining in. I went up to the counter to pick-up my takeout. I was given my order and the man went immediately back into the kitchen. I opened the the bag and there was only one box with two pieces of fish. Huh ? I looked at my email to verify my order. A couple mins later another man came to the counter and I showed him what I was given. He said let me check your order. When he came back, he said give me five mins and I will cook the rest of your order. While I waited for the remainder of my order, I dined on the two pieces of fish. I will say the fish was decent. I detected which I believe was MSG that gave it a savory taste. Perhaps, I'm incorrect. I just wanted to bring this to someone's attention that might be MSG intolerant. After 10 mins, I received the rest of my order. Eight pieces of fish in total. Not too bad of a price for fish especially considering today's seafood prices. Will I go back ? Probably not. Still searching for my go to Fish...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I saw this place had good reviews so I decided to try it. I got the cod sandwich with fries and a diet Coke. The cod sandwich was pretty typical cod sandwich, nothing to jump on the table and scream about. The fries had a really good seasoning to them and the Coke came in a can and two squeeze packets of tartar sauce. Mimi the cashier was very nice and steered me in the right direction of the rather confusing menu. The pick two was different on the menu online then it was the menu there. The cod sandwich came with tomato onion and lettuce which were all pleasantly fresh. The dining area was very clean and organized .Overall a very good experience and I will be back. I will say two things that they need to do to make it even better is fry the fish just a little bit longer to give it that extra crisp and make your own in-house tartar sauce. That would send it...
