This place is absolutely incredible! Today marked my first experience with axe throwing, something I had to put on hold due to a shoulder injury. While it looks fantastic online, the reality is even more impressive. The atmosphere is delightfully cozy, reminiscent of a luxurious ski resort. The service is top-notch, and everything is affordably priced.
If you're new to axe throwing like I was, don't worry at all! They have an on-site coach with a wonderful personality who will guide you step by step on how to throw correctly.
Not interested in throwing? No problem! You can still have a great time as a spectator, enjoying delicious food and drinks while watching others throw. The owners are genuinely wonderful people who take great pride in ensuring you have a memorable experience.
Additionally, this location features one of the best indoor haunted houses I have ever seen. During our visit, a family member of the owners treated us to an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the haunted house area. Inside, it feels like you've stepped into a charming New Orleans-style street, complete with three open bars inside of the haunt when it is in operation. I've never seen anything quite like it! Since it's indoors, they open the haunt at various times throughout the year, with Valentine's weekend being the next occasion.
I can't recommend this place enough! It's the perfect spot for a night...
Read moreWow! This was a really fun place. We went to check out the Indiana Jones-themed tiki overlay, and we were not disappointed! If you are the type of person who grew up on adventure movies like Indiana Jones, the Goonies, the Mummy, Tomb Raider, etc., then you will love the vibe here. And it is themed so well that I wouldn't be surprised if an Imagineer was involved with the planning. It is very reminiscent of many of the S.E.A. attractions at Disney Parks, like the Jungle Cruise. And the decor and furnishings are high quality and well thought out. This does not look like a temporary attraction.
Plus, there is a crazy giant volcano outside that they set off later in the evening, and it was just really fun. Everyone in the restaurant goes out to watch it, and they play this dramatic music while you wait, and it was just really goofy and fun.
Plus, the staff here is so nice! They are clearly proud of this cool atmosphere they have created, so they add to the fun vibe. And we booked a little party room, so there was a scavenger hunt game and some other games and unique props. I highly recommend booking one of these rooms if you are going with a group. It is worth the few extra dollars. And, I should also mention that the food and cocktails we tried were very good! Get the...
Read moreEverything was great! Quick and easy check in! Our axe master Sarah was great and informative and the legendary tiki wa so good! We will definitely be back.
Here to update my previous review. We returned today for our 4pm reservation. Got checked in, grabbed our drinks and headed to our bay. Sarah the same axe master we had previously greeted us and got us set up with our games. Our names wouldn’t show up so she went to investigate. When she returned she proceeded to tell us “ first off it’s fixed and second y’all didn’t pay and need to go take care of that!” With a very condescending tone. We explained that we paid when we checked in. She told us to go back to check in. We spoke with the guy that checked us in about the issue. But first pointed out the manner in which we were told as well as how at this point we are 15 mins into our play time at no fault of our own. He didn’t offer us anything for the rudeness or for the. Time lost. We did request a refund which was processed. We had plans to fo to hush after we left axe throwing and decided not to waste our time. I had hoped to make this place our new date night but definitely won’t be back. I’m updating my first review from 5 stars to 2 and that’s only because the first...
