I have ALWAYS ordered from Li's for years. I ordered sesame chicken, which is something I never order because I love their curry chicken, but I felt like something different when I got it. The chicken didnāt taste as fresh. It was hard and there wasnāt a lot of sauce like the sauce had dried up. So I called and I wasnāt rude. By any means I understand things happen and all I stated was what I had mentioned here about the chicken. I asked if I could just then switch it out for something else I was put on hold When he came back on the phone, his tone had a bit of an attitude. He asked what would you like to replace it with and I said curry chicken, please and could you please add the chili oil? He said in kind of a rude tone we charge for that. I said thatās fine. If you wanna charge me for the chili oil, I will go ahead and pay for it. I asked if they wanted the food back they said yes. When I brought the food back, the woman at the counter, took the chicken and told me to keep my rice that they were not gonna give me any more rice I was like OK. She squeezed my bag and said oh they put rice in there and I said OK. What would you like this rice back? She said no you keep it. We donāt want it in a rude tone. I was trying to be very pleasant. I understand things happen and Iāve never had a problem with this place ever and Iām not saying that you intentionally gave me hard chicken that look like it had been sitting out, but to be rude to me and give me my food only to come home and find out that there was a staple in it. I didnāt bother calling because whatās the point they were already rude to me and I definitely donāt want them to make me anything else and I will not go back to them again. . That was uncalled for. In all the years Iāve come to you. Iāve never had a problem, but the one time I mentioned to you, you Have an attitude with me. Nobodyās perfect and things happen and all you couldāve said was.ā Iām so sorry that happened. I apologize if youād like to bring it back, we can make you another one or if you want to switch it out for something else but you had such attitude all of you that youāve lost my business and Iāve already told my friend and she said that she loves that place and she will not be going...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFood was terrible. Starting with the egg drop soup. It was so bland it was inedible, also scalding hot as if it had been nooked to death, crispy wontons were stale. Wife was ready to pay for our drinks and leave after the soup but we were super hungry and wanted to give it another chance. Pu pu platter was not that bad edible but still not great. Entrees we had the sweet and sour combo and sesame chicken. Everything was completely inedible pork, chicken, and shimp all tasted the same the white meat was so fatty you had to continuously chew it to even try and swallow it, everything tasted as if it had been made in advance and refried.. We ate less than a 1/4 of our meal and the waitress asked if we wanted boxes which we did not. Was not in the mood for arguing that night so we paid and left. Ambience we were the only couple in the restaurant another couple arrived shortly after us. Felt really bad for them but again didn't want to cause a scene. Our padding on our booth was so worn out that you were sitting so low your chin was practically on the table not a comfortable eating position. Our 2 year old who absolutely loves Chinese didn't even touch a thing. Went home still hungry.. had grilled cheese sandwiches and top ramen which was way better. Please don't be fooled by the positive reviews wasted 50$ on garbage. Oh yes and I also agree with the food poisoning comments, we were both sick to our stomachs for a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYup, wanted to mix things up and try a new place out. We landed on Li's after reading some online reviews. We're very happy we found this place. In my youth I spent a couple summers as a waiter in an upscale restaurant in a resort town, the whole point of mentioning this is it's difficult for me to shake looking at specific details when dining in a new place. Some things that draw my attention: does the silverware have spots, are the drinking glasses smudged, are the menus worn or do they have food splatter on them, do the plates look worn. I know, totally nitpicking here, these are things you might evaluate in a finer dining establishment. But, Liās checked all the boxes here, no complaints, in fact I was impressed. To echo what others have written, the service is quick but itās not rushed. We were happy to see they were busy with at least half a dozen other tables being served, on a cold Tuesday night! Lots of great veggies in our dishes, cooked the way we like them, still crunchy and flavorful and the portions are very generous. Liās appears to have been able to figure out how to stay successful without resorting to the standard pricing increase we see in other restaurants of this type, nor have they succumbed to shrinkflation. Weāre looking forward to sharing this...
