Popular breakfast/brunch spot in Weston with amazing food.
Drove all the way from Boston to Weston just to check out this place. I usually donât put much trust in highly-rated suburban spots, but this place was differentâclassy vibes, great service, and most importantly, better food than most brunch spots Iâve tried in Boston.
The menu here balances classic brunch staples with a few unique twists, and almost everything we tried was well-executed. We shared three of their most popular menu - Smoked Salmon breakfast, Eurasian Eggs & potatoes, and Californian Griddle. The Smoked Salmon breakfast was simple but satisfying. The smoked salmon, pesto, and crème fraÎche worked beautifully together, though the home fries were slightly undercooked.
Eurasian Eggs & Potatoes was easily the best egg & potato dish Iâve had in recent memory. The Sichuan chili oil with over-easy eggs was an impeccably comforting duo, and the lemon zest and crème fraĂŽche added the perfect brightness. This time, the home fries were cooked perfectly, and we used the leftover chili oil and runny egg yolk to soak up the English muffin from the Californian Griddle. As for the Californian Griddle, it was decent on its own, but honestly, it worked best as a side to complement the eggs.
Only thing we found just okay was the matcha latte. But everything else more than made up for it. Definitely a brunch spot...
Read moreIâm giving a one star review due mostly to the food. This is the second time Iâve gone to heirloom and Iâve ordered the turkey roll up, both times. As Iâm ordering, the inattentive person behind the counter, informs me once again that they are out of Turkey! This was before 1:00 PM during the week! If you run out of turkey consistently, order more turkey. There is a grocery store in the same strip steps awayâ go buy some turkey if you run out. You have several offerings that specified turkey. I ended up, unfortunately, ordering a Chicken Caesar salad roll up with a side of salad. The salad was about 2 tablespoons of lettuce, barely dressed. The Caesar roll up was loaded with croutons so much so that I had to remove them and it was about half the contents of the roll up. I donât think most people want his Caesar crouton rollup. Thatâs not what I ordered. There was virtually no chicken in the roll up! My assumption is they were running low on chicken as well. I ended up leaving most of the food and sorry⌠The price for this poor quality roll up was over $16. Give me a break. Across the street weston provision makes A much better chicken Caesar roll up for significantly less money. Donât even...
Read moreStaff was friendly enough. The interior design is less than desirable, decor aside, the food seemed inconsistent and frankly disappointing. My Thanksgiving Turkey sandwich was horrible, just awful. I couldnât even finish one half. The bread was dry and crumbly, too much (not fresh) cranberry and the breaded stuffing was dry/hard/tasteless, not to mention the ratios were off and couldnât even taste the turkey! My sons Buffalo wrap was surprisingly decent. My sons friend had a grilled cheese sandwich which was delivered propped up which in turn made the sandwich fall apart leaving all the cheese off the bread, so he ate just grilled bread and tried to scrap the cheese off the plate. Unfortunately, I canât give them more than one star (earned by friendly staff and an ok buff chick wrap). Bummer that Heirloom is just all...
