NOTE: My review isnāt food-focused, but rather the vibe I received when I patronized this cafe. I was recommended this shop by my dentist because I randomly mentioned I was craving a sandwich. I drove the 10 or 12 minutes to Weston in search of a great sandwich, but the quality of the food is secondary to the customer service I received which was lukewarm at best. I realize Weston is an affluent, predominantly white town and interacting with minorities may not be something these closed minded townies are used to, but that doesnāt excuse the fact that I drove out of my way to patronize an overpriced sandwich shop only to be looked at and treated like I have 3 heads! Upon walking into the store, no one so much as smiled at me, let alone greeted me hello. The two European guys hanging up a sign ignored me and reluctantly looked my direction and the young man who eventually took my order acted like he didnāt want to deal with me at all. I had to ābreak the iceā by joking about my strong sandwich craving and that my dentist recommended Weston Provisions to satisfy said craving. As a patron, my job is to be received warmly, not to have to break the ice upon walking in. Then some strange man walked out of the back room and stared at me for what felt like minutes on end, which made me uncomfortable. He had this sinister smirk on his face and I really didnāt like that! Anyway, I avoided eye contact as much as possible and proceeded to place my order. Another customer who did not look like me walked in and was greeted normally. Thatās what really set me over the edge and regret spending almost 70 dollars my hard earned cash at this place. Was the food good? I guess so, but the taste was muddled by my truly awkward experience. I believe all the positive reviews about this place talking about getting great customer service⦠if youāre not a minority! This should be obvious but at a place of business, all patrons should be treated normally regardless of what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTypically a sandwich shop serving Boarās Head deli products has a pretty high standard for their sandwiches. Donāt let the quality ingredients fool you here though, the sandwiches were overpriced and not that good. They didnāt have very much meat on them in comparison to other nearby shops and they lacked much for toppings as well. The large sandwich had about a quarter of the lettuce I wouldāve expected and it had only 3 half slices of tomato for a large sub. There was not much mayo on the sub either and the little bit of mayo that was there tasted like cheap generic mayo, not a good quality brand. The rolls were delicious though. Overall the sandwich was dry and very bready with not much inside and their large subs are about the size of a small sub at most other shops. The photo shows half of my large sub. At $30 for 2 ālargeā subs we were disappointed. We might return if we were in the area and it was convenient, but we wouldnāt go out of our way for these...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were so excited to go into Weston Provisions for lunch today. Walking in it was such a beautiful shop with really amazing products, everything was curated so well and I appreciated the grocery being all local vendors. We ordered an Italian sandwich and a chicken sandwich. The Italian was so good! Perfect amount of everything and the iggys bread choice made it especially delicious! The fried chicken sandwich I was really pleasantly surprised by. The chicken was so tender and freshly fried to perfection. I highly reccomend stopping by this gem when you are anywhere near Weston! Itās such a great addition to the center and I canāt wait to try the other items...
