Stillwaters Restaurant | Stonewall Resort — Restaurant in Weston

I would not even give this RESORT a star. Drove 4 hours to enjoy a evening with wife. Purchased a Romantic honeymoon package with 1 bottle of champagne,chocolate covered strawberries,breakfast and dinner included for a total of $341.00. Come to find out the breakfast and dinner is only for Buffett. Anything else we had a $20 each credit twords a a la carte. As We were walking down hallway to the room it had a musky smell. We then entered room to find a spider and crickets in room. Then the toilet seat was filthy and the shower was from the 70's. The mirror and sink had toothpaste on it. This room was the same room you would get a a super8 motel. I took pictures and called front desk to ask for refund they said no but they would send room service. I told them we were leaving anyway. When I got up yo front desk they offered the room for $199 if we stayed. No way in hell am I sleeping with bugs. I will take care of charges since they would not refund. I was not raised with a silver spoon in my mouth so please believe me when I tell you it is not worth $100 a night. Unless your having a college bash party don't...

I ordered the halibut with sweet potato mash. when it came, the sweet potatoes were cubed, not mashed. that would have been ok except they were unseasoned, undercooked and cold. the fish was also unseasoned, except for the apple topping (which was pretty good). but the fish was so overcooked that it had the taste and texture of styrofoam. others in our party got the buffet. they said the food was just ok. but the guy who was supposed to be carving the prime rib was busy scrubbing the floor behind the buffet the whole time we were there. first of all, i can't believe they had the same person scrubbing the floor and carving the roast. secondly, you had to insist he stop to serve you and he made it clear he was displeased to be interrupted. overall, bad to mediocre food and bad to mediocre service. to top it off, our entrees and buffet were all $30+ so the price was way out of sync with the quality...

The buffet keeps getting worse it seems. Someone decided to cover the macaroni and cheese with deep fried onions. Not just a few either, they were caked. They already price gouge during holidays and double the price of the buffet, but then the food is terrible too. It’s like they don’t want you there. I will say one thing that was better was the prime rib actually had flavor this time, but the guy at the carving station wasn’t trained properly and kept turning it and cutting with the grain, which makes the meat tough and hard to eat. Honestly this place can be great, I just wish they had some better leadership in place and maybe some more training for the staff. Buffet during the holidays is around $50 per person and has never actually been worth that price. Honestly it’s a stretch for it to be worth...
