Lived down the road for years and never went, figured i’d give it a try. I did order take out, so that could of gave the quality a hit. But the place itself is nice, very calm atmosphere, extremely friendly staff, and it was extremely clean. I ordered the Chicken Cutlet Grinder and the Cheesy Garlic Bread. Overall wasn’t really satisfied with my meal, the garlic bread was possibly some of the worst I’ve ever had, looked sad, was soft and had an awful texture. Taste was alright, but the cheese was barley melted and looked just thrown on, though it did have plenty of garlic flavor. The Chicken Cutlet Grinder was better, it was a smaller portion size then I was expecting, about 6 inches in length, but for 11.95, I would expect at least an 8-10 inch sub. It tasted fine, texture was fantastic, just not a superb sandwich. The fries however, are fantastic, extremely crispy, seasoned well, a very very good french fry. Overall I’d say it was a decent experience, and after all the food I got was TAKE OUT, so I’d assume the quality would be much better if you dined in. Worth a stop by.

Travellers, Elaine’s is a local restaurant that has a fantastic menu. And the chef can back it up. The food is delicious. The restaurant is pretty and the ambiance is very pleasant. Service is with a smile. Back to the great food. We had the linguini and clam sauce which was fantastic. The clams were whole and cooked perfectly while the sauce was excellent. The rustica pasta was excellent. We had it with linguini instead of rigatoni which was fine. The cowboy burger is excellent and cooked perfectly too. And the Caesar salad with grilled chicken also perfectly done. Elaine’s is reasonably priced for the high quality of food and service you receive in this restaurant. We can’t wait to go back. Check it out. We recommend. TLDR - top choice for Italian/American food

We went here for dinner Friday night. The service was good and the food was great. The portions and ratios were spot on. The prices are certainly reasonable. Everything was what we had hoped for - expectations were met. They even have Yuengling beer! We had cheesecake for dessert and I was impressed with how Kristen brought the tea and cheesecake out together. I can’t tell you how many people screw this up. The cheesecake was decent, but I think next time I will try the carrot cake. There will certainly be a next time… In the past, I had only gone here for company Christmas parties and had found the food to be very good.

Well I'm so "torn" about writing this review, but I decided that I will... Elaine's is a very nice restaurant, Family owned and operated, has been in business forever, is exceptionally clean, Owners are extremely Friendly, 2 waitresses Chris & Heather are phenomenal....and the Food, Well....that's why I chose to write this review... It's definitely "Hit or Miss" depending on what you order.... You can get a meal at 1 time, Love it, and get it again and it be not anything close to the 1 you had prior! Which that is very disappointing!!! I tried the Veal Parmigan dinner, and my guest had the Chicken Parmigan dinner, a few weeks ago, and we loved them both! We had a great dinner! So we returned again with friends and we ordered 2 Veal Parmigan Dinners, 1 Chicken parmigan dinner, and 1 Scallop dinner!!! As we sat socializing amongst each other, we could hear someone in the kitchen pounding, and pounding, and pounding something, we all made a comment and laughed about it, not thinking anything about it. Well our dinners came out and we all were disappointed just at the looks of them! The pounding we heard was the cook, pounding the Veal and Chicken to smithereens!!!!! Paper thin!!!!! Both Veal dinners and the Chicken dinner were horrible!!! I order Veal Parmigan every restaurant I go to, and yes, some are better than others, but I've never had Paper thin Veal before!!! Our guests were very disappointed in their meal, which again was Veal & Chicken, Paper thin! The Scallop dinner however was Absolutely to die for! Scallops were fresh, tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection with very flavorful rice and vegetables on the side... Also there was not melted mozzarella on our Parmigan meals, it seemed like it was a slice of American cheese, believe it or not, it could have been something else, but definitely was not melted mozzarella!!! I will return to Elaine's and try other dishes, the restaurant and the owners & Chris & Heather are too nice not to, but I won't let myself be disappointed again like that! Really the cook should put away his hammer!!! If you want spectacular Veal Parmigan or Chicken Parmigian, try "Yanni's" in Newington...Now That's a...

This is an update to my review of a few days ago. Found myself with another good sized group (18 people) at this restaurant. This time the server was absolutely excellent, remembered everybody's order and all of us were served pretty quickly. (There was no on else in the restaurant at the time.) The food was really good - scallops cooked perfectly, mixed vegetables not over nor undercooked and seasoned well. A little glitch, we asked to have the scallops with the lemon pan sauce on linguini instead of rice - but the pasta came separately with red sauce. The waiter realized it and asked if we wanted it changed, but he was so friendly we said it was OK as it was. One other little problem - common now in most reataurants - the butter packets are almost immpossible to open. I rated the atmosphere at two stars because the bar room was too small for our group's size. I would recommend this restaurant to a smaller group size and not at peak times.

Previous reiew: We were a big group in a separate room. Had to go one by one to the buffet, squeezing by another customer who's seat was obstructing the doorway - dangerous for our elderly group - and for the woman sitting in the doorway. I was very surprised she didn't end up wearing someone's lunch. The food was nothing special, and they ran out of many things. Buffet was not adequately staffed, big hold up at the omelet station, and the meat carving station.. one server for both. Service in the banquet room was very slow. One server only was not enough. Coffee came way after the desert and cream for the coffee didn't come until the coffee was cold. Would not recommend...

My family held a banquet luncheon here for a funeral today. If I could give 0 stars for the service, I would. We had the room from 12:00-4 pm. It was a small gathering, 4 tables total in the room. Everyone found a seat when we arrived and because there were a few empty chairs at two of the other tables, The server told 4 of us at one table (including my disabled brother) that we needed to move because they were “closing down” that table because there were seats elsewhere. This was not in the main restaurant, this was in the banquet room that we had a private party in. We should not have been restricted from sitting anywhere in that room. The service was terrible, at best. The servers were unfriendly and in a huge rush. As I said, we had the room from 12 PM to 4 PM and they were running around clearing our plates as we were taking the last bite. By 1:15 PM they had packed up all of the food from the chafing pans and were rushing us out the door by 1:45 pm. The food was pretty good, but the service was worse than terrible. I would not host another gathering here and I would not recommend Elaine‘s for a gathering to...
