Please avoid at all costs. I have gone to them several times and their service has usually been excellent. However, I ordered a simple case of 6 fried Oreos today. I have had them several times in the past and they tasted just fine. Today, however, they tasted solely of the peanut oil they are fried in. You cannot chew and swallow them before the taste of the burnt oil comes through so sharply and makes you want to gag. It was horrendous. I cannot tell you how awful these were compared to the past times I have had them. I called the restaurant politely and spoke with an Italian man and explained the situation. He interrupted me several times, explained this cannot be the case since I am the first man to complain of these awful taste, said if you don’t like them you can go elsewhere, and told me to screw off and hung up the phone. I have given them my business for several years as a local in the area, but their rude, inconsiderate, mocking, and inhospitable customer service has turned me away from them forever. I do not write any of this lightly or in jest. If they do not know how to speak with customers politely and listen, I ensure you they do not care about the quality of the food they serve you. Look elsewhere for food in Wharton and beyond. I promise you will not miss anything by avoiding this restaurant ran by mean-spirited bullies. Lastly, do not take anything to heart they may say in their comment to this message. They will claim I’m being selfish. I ensure I have nothing to I gain here but to provide you some wisdom from choosing a better place to give your hard-earned...
Read moreI am very upset by my recent experience with Theodora's. I have been going here for more than 10 years as their pizza is one of the best across town. I recently took a trip a week ago and was astounded that there was no working A/C in their place. It also took 15 minutes to put in my order and another 15 for my order to be ready (I ordered a slice of pizza). Whoever took my order was the probably one of the rudest employees I have ever encountered. I felt no friendly atmosphere as I am used to here, and to make matters worse, he sternly told me that no outside drinks were allowed (I brought a bottle of water). This made me extremely mad because he was being inconsiderate with how hot the restaurant was. He watched me down throughout the rest of my dining experience to make sure I did not grab a sip of my water. And finally, when it came time to pay, it took much more longer than it needed to. This guy was ringing me up and took a call and began arguing with the person on the phone. I don't know what his issue was but it really bothered me so much with how he treats customers that I had to...
Read moreUnfortunately I am rating on service and belligerent treatment by the owner. We ( two females) were seated before a party of 6 men and a party of 2 arrived. Waitress took our order immediately after the table of 6. Table of 2 arrived after that. Table of 6 and 2 meals were served about 10 minutes after orders were taken. We waited 30 minutes and finally questioned waitress about status of our order pointing out that we had arrived before both tables and table of 2 had completed their meals and left already! Owner then came out and RUDELY asked what the problem was. I explained the situation and he ARROGANTLY said it takes a while to grill vegetables ( I had ordered a veggie wrap)! In the meantime another gentleman customer had arrived.; his order was taken and his food arrived two minutes after ours did. He arrived 60 minutes after us; order was taken and he finished his meal the same time we did! The owner definitely needs lessons in customer service. I must say the food was very good. Too bad the chef’s talents are wasted in this...
