I was hungry and saw this place on my way home from work, and I'm so glad I stopped here. There was plenty of parking and the ambiance was authentic! The bold and colorful tones, woven textiles on the walls, and traditional Mexican music playing softly in the background created a clean and inviting atmosphere. I ordered their four quesabirria tacos with consommé (no rice or beans), two sides of lime, and a Sprite. They were delicious! The vibrant, golden-red tortillas were lightly crisped and infused with the reddish oil from the birria consommé. The tacos were generously filled with tender shredded meat and perfectly gooey melted cheese oozing from the sides. The taste was just as delightful, with a deep and savory flavor balanced with smoky, spicy, and tangy notes. Although the food was amazing, my favorite highlight was the napkins—they had a full paper roll at the table, which was so efficient instead of having to ask for more. I'll definitely be coming back with some...
Read moreI stopped in for some impromptu takeout while at Ace a couple doors down. I was initially impressed with the interior. HUGE bar and nice decor inside. (it would actually be really good for gatherings)
The employees were friendly and helped with menu questions. The food was ready fast enough and everything was fresh. This kind of restaurant is exactly what's needed near downtown AH. There are Mexican restaurants downtown but let's be honest... Pickup can be a pain and they are definitely more expensive than El Tacazo. It's nice to have a well priced restaurant with easy pickup close to downtown.
I had the enchiladas with red sauce and carne asada. My husband had the 3 taco dinner with El pastor. The food was all really good. It was what you'd expect for tacos and enchiladas.... Which is excellent. The meat was all fresh, the rice and beans were good. They included some hot and some mild sauce.
Great addition to our area. Check it out and offer some support to a...
Read moreHorrible experience! I picked up my order 10 min exactly after I ordered it. My burrito was cold. It was definitely cooked before my order and was sitting around. The refried beans were straight from a can and cold. The rice was definitely old and had been microwaved. Just bad food all around. Some of these reviews are either fake or these people think taco bell is fine dining. Taco bell is actually much better than this place. The guacamole was so basic and very little flavor. It was completely empty in the restaurant when I got there. I called few min after trying the food. The person who picked up the phone said that Chris the manager was to busy to come to the phone and I should deive back to talk to him! I had to throw out the food and my whole family had to make other arrangements for dinner. They will be out of business like this...
