Heffy's Hot Dogs — Restaurant in Wheeling Township

Disappointed.

Service was excellent, place was clean, checkout and kitchen were on point. I was in and out in less than 2 minutes.

I purchased a Chicago dog and a side of fries. Pricing is a little high compared to nearby local rivals, but okay. ~$5.80 for 700 calories, sure.

This is lunch hour. 12pm'ish. Nice older woman takes my order, asks me to keep the receipt with my number on it. 20 seconds later, my order's up! Whoa, cool!

Now for eating. Fries are crisped outside but soggy inside. You know that taste...with the lingering cold icicle flavor. They were potato noodles that I couldn't finish, and for $2?

The hotdog was soggy as well. They didn't drain the dog before plopping it in the bun or something? Whatever, it's a Chicago dog, and theyre kinda meant to be messy. Scarfed it down all the same. Condiments were fresh and good.

This place was packed...maybe I got the wrong order for their menu? First impressions are everything, and I wouldn't shoot down returning if a friend suggested we go for lunch, but I won't come back on my own...

Prices are high compared to rivals in this area. I can rattle off two others within 3 miles that are ±$2 cheaper in meal prices and offer just the same experience at the counter but better fries and...

I just found Heffy's through my job as a delivery driver. One of my co-workers told me when craving mozzarella sticks, it is the go to place so I gave it a shot. They were so good! That gorgeous stretching of the cheese when you bite into it. So I gave it another shot, got a cheeseburger combo, and would you guess it? That was even better. I started to talk with the employees more, and they told me to try their Philly cheese steak which was on special $9.99 combo. Once again their delicious food blew me out of the water. It is made for quality. Not quantity. They put love into what they make and you can taste the difference! I just tried their new Shrimp Po Boy and is it to die for?! Ohhhhhhhhh myyyyyyy goddddd!!!! This place had me exploding into tears when I first went here. As soon as I took my very first bite of the Heffy burger, I immediately dropped the burger and silver ware on the plate and exploded with pure joy. The atmosphere, the service, and especially the food. It’s just that freaking good of a fast food place. I’ve been going to this place for about a couple of years now and still never gets old. The food is still delicious, the staff are still so delightful, and the atmosphere is just breathtaking. Every time I walk in the shop, I just take a minute to take a breather and observe this wonderful joy land. This is the BEST fast food restaurant in my town and even possibly EVER.
