Typical mexican restaurant located inside of a strip mall. Lots of seats and tables to dine inside with very clean bathrooms. Service was outstanding. I was greeted immediately upon entering and was told to choose anywhere to sit. I was then handed a menu, and I ordered a drink. While I looked over the menu, I received chips and salsa to the table. The chips were fresh, salty, tasted very corn forward, and came with a green tomatillo salsa. It was probably some of the best green salsa I have had anywhere. I ordered a handmade tortilla quesabirria (with consume) and a handmade gordita with steak. When I received both entrées, they also brought two types of salsas to the table, a red and a green sauce and they were both great! The quesabirria comes as one long taco on a plate. Almost like a quesadilla/quesabirria. The homemade tortilla was so delicious, and the quesabirria meat was very flavorful. It had chickpeas, potatoes, and carrots in the broth as well. Because of that, I was able to eat most of the consume after eating the taco, almost like a soup. I didn't enjoy the gordita. It was pretty bland because the gordita was hard, almost fried, and it wasn't soft like I was expecting. The steak could have been seasoned better as well. I wouldn't order a gordita again, but if I was in the area, I would come back and try...

Hubby & Mama Bear: Had the carne asada medium well and it was a chef’s kiss. The meat was so tender and great seasoning. Papa Bear: Costillas de Res a la parrilla. They were so juicy and very well seasoned. Me: Shared a plate with the Hubby bcuz I wanted empanada de res. Yes, Colombian and it was so good.
Everyone raved about the chiles toreados bcuz they were seasoned and had the lime taste. Oh my god so delicious 😋 it’s definitely on top of the list to come eat when we visit El Cerrito...
Read moreThe chips salsa tasted like it was made the day before, I ordered chicken tenders and french fries, we got cheese sticks, I ordered 1 taco with handmade tortilla and 2 with flour tortilla and I got the 2 flour tortilla with small regular tortillas, and on the menu it didn't say that the cecina tacos are $5.50 each. The chilaquiles were ok, the asada taco tasted like the meat was warmed from days before, we also asked for the taste (prueba) of the guerrerense mole, we were expecting a small tablespoon amount, we got more like 4 tablespoons worth and 2 small tortillas and we though that was nice, once the bill came we saw that we were charged $2 dollars for it, also the whole time we were there they we rearranging the tables like if they were expecting a big party or something. very uncomfortable, the only good side is thay the cecina was tasty and...
