Rocky's American Grill — Restaurant in Wheeling Township

I can sum up our experience at Rocky Vander’s from this past Saturday night as FANTASTIC!

I was looking for a place to hold a reunion of some long time friends. They accommodated us above and beyond our expectations. We knew we would have between 20-30 people, but not a definite count. When we arrived, they had our area all set up, with plenty of seating, in a separate area which we requested. The waitress, Jen, was absolutely fabulous. She was very friendly and attentive to us. The service was great when we ordered food. It came quickly. Tasted great. The beer selection/drink selection was also to our liking. The TVs/Music wasn’t too loud, so that we can converse and have a conversation without screaming to be heard. Perfect. By having such a great venue and atmosphere to hold our ‘mini-reunion’, it really set the tone for a fantastic night. There was also a live band that played which also was a great addition to the night’s enjoyment. The location of Rocky Vander’s was perfect, as we had people coming from all directions and with it being right at Milwaukee Ave and Palatine Road, it was the right choice to have our get together here.

I would recommend this place for others to come and have a great night out. We will come back when it starts getting warmer, so that we can enjoy their outside patio bar. Again, kudos to Jen, for being a terrific server...

Nice place but cover is ridiculous specially for ladies, last Saturday they have this theme glow in the dark and charged $20 for cover for everyone because there”s a lady wearing glow in the dark dancing in the cage, i guess for guys it’s ok to charged then for the cover but for ladies, we are there to dance nice to see a lady wearing glow in the dark . Also they should at least switch up the music not all Latin all the time but at least play English/American music from time to time after all the place is called Rocky’s American bar and grill . Don’t get me wrong I love latin music I do zumba with latin music but sometimes when your out in a bar it would be nice if there’s variety of music. A lot of us left right away since we did not enjoy it that much . You should cater to everyone so that you’ll get a lot...

First time customer. Placed order for delivery to Northbrook. Ordered a salad and a burger. Order arrived withing the hour. Salad had no dressing nor was on the side. So the salad was dry. A SALAD NEEDS ITS DRESSING.!!!!! Now the burger. It was called the HANGOVER BURGER.. The pretzel bun was hard as rock!! I think I hurt my mouth trying to bite it. The egg was all over the burger, inside,outside, on top of the bun and bottom of the bun and yolk outside the burger. Order jalapenos inside and I got only 1 damn jalapeno slice,ring, or what ever you wanna call it. And it was outside the burger. Not inside the burger but almost somewhere inside the fries!!!..The meat was ok. Now the fries where super overcooked. Paid almost 36 dollars + tip.. That's the most expensive,nasty salad and burger...
