The grape leaves were good, I ordered Pita and dip but they were already out of Hummus at 530pm so I just got the grape leaves. So for menu I would give it 2 stars. I ordered a Gyro, fries with a side of olives and Tzaki sauce. Gyro is why the score is much higher since I was not happy with not getting the hummus. The gyro was excellent, it was large, maybe to large. Stuffed with a ton of meat. The ratio of every other ingredient was only fair comparing the ratio of lettuce to tomato, all outweighed by the amount of gyro meat. Every few bites needed the cut in of an olive really made the gyro that much better. The Greek fries were great, reminded me of being a kid and eating Andy capp fries but instead as a real French fry. The seasoning was great. I dipped them in tzaki, I couldn't find myself to ask for ketchup as they felt they needed something more than just drowning them in ketchup like most times. They were seasoned to perfection. The servers were a little to busy for only having 2, the phone rang every 2 minutes and the servers ran to keep up with the busy dining room. As a restaurant manager of 20 years, they need to make the process more efficient, drink station in kitchen, the servers did to much side work for such an easy menu, they shouldn't need a grill person a fry person and microwave person- yes there was literally a person working the microwave. Never seen it before, atleast not in a place with "Authentic" food. So I would have to challenge this process. I will be back, its not my first time there but first time eating the place to review. Also Cash only in today's world is a tough business decision, atleast add...
Read moreThis place is amazing. Love the owners, the workers, the environment, the food. The food is outstanding and everything is so good. Decent portion sizes and prices are good. 10 out 5 always. Thank you Rodos! 10-1-24
I just absolutely love this place. One the food is always good. Two the customer service and atmosphere always has been for years amazing. Three did I mention the food, let me mention it again. The best gyros in town. If you’re visiting Pittsburgh this is a must. If you live in the area or a hour within this place, this place is it. So worth it.
We’ve ordered from them for years, lately in the past year we’ve got Rodos almost once every two weeks. Prices are reasonable, food is amazing, portion size is good, and customer service 5 star.
Tonight we ordered late and we never do, close to closing time. It was busy when we placed the order, didn’t realize it was close to closing time at the time. Went to run a errand and we got there past closing time. About 5 minutes. Grateful for them for waiting for us. I understand they have to clean and get things ready for the next night but I so appreciate them. We were about to be gyro-less. Even if I didn’t get my food tonight I would have understood. Thankful for the management team, owner, the employees always.
Highly recommend this place. 100 stars! Not just tonight, every single time. (In the picture we definitely ate some gyro meat on the way home. We did ask for a extra pita and cucumber sauce split one gyro. #BestGyro hands...
Read moreThis was our first visit to Rodos Greek Cafe in White Oak. We are visiting family in the area and my sister told us this was a must stop for lunch. The food was excellent and the price was very fair, especially given the quality and portion sizes. I had a Gyro sandwich, that was as good as I ever had. Lots of meat, great tomatoes, onions, thaziki, and excellent pita bread. Not too thin and fresh. My wife had a Greek salad with a side of pita bread. Lots of fresh toppings, and a very large portion size. The mixed greens were indeed very green 😉. You can see from the pictures the portions are very generous, and the taste is equally impressive. One thing to be aware of. They do not take debit or credit cards, so you'll need to bring cash. We loved our visit and will be back on our next trip...
