Sorry a little late in posting this. Ok so it’s Easter Sunday. My brother used to go to Luigi’s regularly. Loved the sausage and peppers. So thats where we go and that’s what I got The Sausage and Pepers. Have you ever had a tough sausage? Especially one that supposedly sauté with peppers and onions? I had to get a steak knife to cut these burnt offerings. The Clams Casino should have been my warning, as in What Clams in my oily breadcrumbs bad. OK it’s not a primo Italian place it’s what I’d call Continental Cuisine, (a step above a diner) But I wouldn’t order these again on a dare that bad. I might have complained but our waitress disappeared after she served the main course and I asked for more rolls ( they also didn’t show up) . A bus boy got us fresh drinks ( just iced teas) but never saw the young woman again. ( and no dessert was offered either). So anyway, the rest of the family had chicken in different forms, and for the most part they seemed somewhat satisfied. (except the one granddaughter who I suspect nothing was going to please, but keep smiling, I’m not the parent). And the busboy brought the check and took the credit card up to the front. Now I know they said they were closing at 5 exactly, which might explain the bums rush, but they were still seating people. The only reason I didn’t make a scene is because heaven forbid the children are embarrassed by crotchety old dad, I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you, how many times do I need to say I’m sorry, I was serving my country. How many times do you have to get shot to get a little respect?…..OK, I digress, let’s get back to the restaurant….I did like the decor, the country western vibe. Liked the big square bar with the stage in the center ( to bad I don’t drink anymore but still nice). Told my brother about the experience and he was surprised, said I should give it another chance. Well I’ll think about it. I gave it two stars because the kids and the grandkids ate it with no complains or at least till they got in their car. I was just glad they came up and we all had a fairly decent time in spite of the meal. Fortunately we had the foresight to get a dessert to have at home, and everyone had a slice of cheesecake and some coffee/tea and a bunch of laughs. Daughter-in-law was in rare form and funny as hell. So not a...
Read moreLet me begin with a little backstory before I dive into the review itself. I spent my monday morning suffering with 4 young children's (so called) remote learning. It's a hell of a lot more than remote learning. Best way I can describe it is like dousing myself in gasoline and swallowing a lit match. This "remote learning" is literally giving me PTSD. Anyways so after 6 or 7 long painful hours of re-teaching myself the kindergarten -7th grade school work I decided it was time to think about feeding the family. Easy peasy part of the day. I had already marinated a couple London broils for the fam but ya know when you really feel the need to get out alone or with a date, what else is a girl to do?! So surfed the web for local restaurants and the menus. I came across luigis. After deciding my date and I headed out to try a nice place I drive past but have never been! I am so stunned by the beautiful wood and when we came in the young tall dark and handsome server greeted us. I'm so happy I came ! His name is brian and he is so wonderful and pleasant! Such charming young man! I even got a picture with him! I thought my day couldn't be anymore stressful but I came to the right place to ease my mind and fill our tummies. Ladies and gentlemen, let's face it. Covid sucks . Restricting schedules suck but this restaurant rocks from food to servers, I will be back asap! Thanks for the wonderful service and food!...
Read moreI have been here 3 times in 2 years. Each time I am hopeful that the food and service will have improved but sadly that is not the case. Our server seemed like she was in another world and bothered that we were there. I normally would not comment on something like this since we never know what someone might be going through but this isnt the first time we have been served by her. I ordered one of the specials and was given the wrong dish. I told our server that I ordered the special and what I have is wrong and she told me that I ordered the wrong item. My draught beer was flat and skunked.... our server wasnt surprised by this at all and almost seemed to know that the beer was not good and she quickly agreed to remove it from our bill. The Rancho Sampler was served without the pierogi, with mushrooms that were over cooked and hard as rocks, eggplant and fried ravioli. The "sauces" that it is supposed to come with it consited of a small saucer of cold marinara. The soups tasted like they are straight from a can. I'm sorry but 3...
