Riverside Diner — Restaurant in White Township

Too bad i can't give zero stars I wish I could have tried the food but we were never even acknowledged by the staff. When my party of 2 arrived there was a couple in front of us. We stood at the door 5 minutes without being acknowledged even though the staff sitting at the counter and milling behind the counter looked over and made eye contact. I finally asked if we seat ourselves and was told rather curtly "grab a booth". The other couple left but we decided to sit. At no point were we offered drinks or given a menu, I had to ask the busboy, at this point we had been sitting another 10 minutes. He bought us menus and that was the last we heard from any staff...plenty of eye contact but at NO TIME was ANY help or service offered..after another 10 mins we left and went to the Washington Diner where we ran into the couple that had been in front of us. Overall received a very bad vibe from here....I may give it another try but at this point...

Typical diner. The chicken gyro was okay (it's the sliced type of meat, not grilled chicken cubes like some places make it) and the philly cheesesteak was pretty good (veggies were not overcooked, which was nice and the meat was more like Steak-ums- wished it was sliced steak). Service was very good. Fairly quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Those two sandwiches with fries and 2 coffees cost between $30-35 total (at most diners, we pay over $50). It was shockingly awesome to see a diner that has very fair prices. May try...

i went here for the first time a few days ago. everything went great from the start. happy atmosphere. the lady in the front brought over crayons to my kids. the food was amazing and my kids loved the food as well (they’re picky eaters). i got the riverside burger, and macaroni for my kids. food came out quick, and was delicious. i had emma as my waitress and she was great. i would come back just for her! great service, made sure everything was going well, and was very attentive. will definitely be...
