Express Pizzeria — Restaurant in Whitehall

Update 8/22: the people at this shop make it hard for me to not keep coming back, they’re always so nice. The pizza was really good last time I went and I’d suggest checking them out.

I was a long time customer of express pizza and embarrassingly would order from them like 3 or more times a month a few years ago. Now that I’m back in town I decided to order my fav and I must say I’m very disappointed. I ordered 6 wings but only got 3, also got the gyro platter and the bread was tough to bite off and chew and the cucumber sauce was a weird consistency and didn’t taste very good, the fries were good however. I paid around $23 and I’m just upset I feel I didn’t get what I paid for. It hurts my heart to give you guys 3 stars because everyone there is so nice and the food use to be top tier in this area but if I was to rate the food I got today i would have only given 1 stars.. A hole-in-the-wall style place I only recently noticed despite how often I drive down Route 51. I decided, per my pizza-exploring adventure in the neighborhood, to give these guys a try. I was very, very happy I did so.

These guys take some pride in their pizza, or they should at least. A nice, thinner style pizza crust that they load up nicely with whatever you're getting. The Spinach and Feta pizza here was probably my favorite attempt at the "Greek" style pizza in the area. The Pittsburgh Pizza I got was superb, and absolutely loaded with toppings. And not for want of hiding a bad pizza, but just achieving a good balance.

The Krazy Fries I got were good. Not great, but good. And good mozz sticks to go with; very fresh, and thick - think Arbys style. Maybe not the best, but still very good, and the Marinara is free.

The menu online is also very readable. I felt very well informed, and got just what I wanted. So, will definitely be ordering again, and I feel confident...

We ordered a buffalo chicken pizza and a steak hoagie. Our steak hoagie was more like a steak salad. There was barely any meat and no mayonnaise. So we pleasantly called the restaurant to discuss our order. the man lied and said that he put mayonnaise on the sandwich and meat. First he said he put the mayonnaise on the sandwich, then he said he gave us a cup mayonnaise. He did neither. We offered to send him pictures of the hoagie. He just laughed. He thought it was funny. He offered a discount and he offered a refund on the hoagie that we never received. I will never ever order from this...
