One could never call what Crust’s artists create just “a pizza.” Gourmet Italian food? Yes. That works. Quality ingredients are where it all starts and I feel this is key to what elevates the Crust experience. The food is out of this world, the service down home and friendly, decor is darling. I lived part time in NYC for years, and as an avid “foodie,” took some gourmet cooking and food prep classes while there - and this food competes with the best of the best of ANY “food destination” city in which we’ve ever dined: London, Munich, Stockholm, Helsinki, Vienna, Seattle, Napa Valley, Chicago, Naples, FL, and NYC!!!! Further, while there are decent “after Sunday church” breakfast joints sprinkled around, there just aren’t enough of them!!!! Needless to say - we are deliriously happy to find a killer breakfast offering just 5 minutes away. Crust has also become our new GO TO place to treat out of town visitors, as one always strives to highlight the best his or her region has to offer. Fun story: We were so delighted with Starkweather and Sons roofing yesterday and wanted to express gratitude by treating these efficient and hard working dudes to a worthy lunch right next to their work area … targeting their exact lunch time. A tall order!! Yet, upon hearing this, not only did Crust whip out the usual over the top food - RIGHT ON TIME and on VERY SHORT NOTICE - their pizza, rustic Caprese salad and homemade pumpkin cheesecake were a huge hit with the guys. Worth noting that Crust packed up this larger order in generous and sturdy bags, plus threw all the extras - including TO GO boxes for the guys to use at the shift’s end. THANK YOU, Crust, for all you do - and for bringing world class gourmet pizza to US! … Please don’t change ANYTHING!!! …....
Read moreWe waited a little over a week after opening day to try Crust out, to let them get any kinks out they may have, as all new restaurants do. I was sad when I came to their Google page to already see a bad review. Not going to lie, I did look at the reviews he gave other restaurants and it seems he’s just a very particular man and I would not hold that against Crust Pizzeria as they are NEW and still learning. I don’t know the owner personally but I worked in the restaurant business for SEVERAL years and even had to honor of opening up a new restaurant and I know it takes awhile to work out the kinks. Anyways— We walked in and YES, we were unsure whether we needed to seat ourselves or not. I do think there should be a sign upon walking in that says “Please Seat Yourself.” But we were acknowledged quickly, our server was attentive. Drinks, salad and pizza came out very quickly. There was only 2 other tables sat when we came in for a quick lunch. We LOVED the pizza. The crust was chefs kiss AMAZING and unlike anything I’ve ever tried. I also loved the spicy ranch or maybe it was chipotle ranch that I ordered with my garden salad. So yummy! We are already planning our next visit. Keep on doing what...
Read moreWe came here with friends. My husband ordered the Greek pizza with lamb. The pizza came out without the lamb. It took forever to flag someone down (no one came back on their own to check) and then they just asked what do we want them to do? Really?! How about make him the correct pizza? They ended up bringing out a tiny cup out of lamb. No seasoning or sauce. We told them of our displeasure (no one came back to check then either) the waitress said she would fix it for us on the bill. They took $3 off the bill. Then the manager came over to run our card. We told her the situation and that we thought $3 was ridiculous. She promised to fix it, because she said she wanted us to come back. She was literally gone with our card for over 15 minutes. Nothing else was ever done about it. We won't be back. Expensive and you clearly don't get what you order. It was like ordering a pepperoni pizza and they forget the pepperoni......
