Huge disappointment after such a good first visit. I ordered the small Hunan Beef. It was inedible. The meat had a slimy texture and the sauce was very bland and not spicy. The young man who took my order had no concern about my complaint and even charged me $3.00 more for the larger portion rather than the small one I ordered. Perhaps business is down and this is how they compensate; by over charging. I feel sorry for the people of Whitesboro and the surrounding area who frequent this restaurant and think this is what Asian cuisine is.
Update:
obviously you were not paying attention when I ordered. I even made the comment my favorite dish was not available in the small portion. I then went on to say I would take the Hunan Beef since it did come in a small portion. I even pointed to the Loewe price portion while ordering. Yes, you did make a mistake.
more concerning is your total lack of a response when I told you the meat had a slimy texture. This is an indication of spoiled meat. Bacteria forms on the surface and the meat should not be eaten even after cooking. I would assume, since you have been serving food for 11 years, that you would be fully aware of the dangers to your customers from serving spoiled slimy meat.
I have heard it said actions speak louder than words. I brought it to your attention that I was served spoiled meat. I then went on to pay for a meal I could not eat. I only questioned the portion size since I ordered a small. My intent was to keep others from getting spoiled meat.
Your response shows your intentions. No offer to recook a meal or acknowledge any wrongdoing. Even the response posted here is only focused on a simple miscommunication about a portion size. Not the fact you served spoiled meat.
It is too hard to hear what you are saying because your actions are thundering so loud...
Read moreUpdate: avoid the "pho" and don't ask for their version of hoisen sauce. They have some really good oyster sauce tho, and they don't use the cheap shoyo. Rice isn't cheap either they use legit sticky short grain cooked perfectly and it was so nice to have some good clean fresh rice (they never serve it old either and that's rare for a small town restaurant♥️) Also I've noticed their ice is really clean- they're def keeping up with getting their machine maintained. Recently when all the other businesses had funky ice/water because of tourist season driving the aquaphor down a bit they still had clean ice and the soda tasted great, so you know their filters and fizzy are regularly serviced and they're cleaning the machine nozzles daily. And the place is immaculate. Good solid bet here if you're looking for a nice casual meal with good table service.
There's a few dishes that are pretty dang good- Singapore noodles being one of them. Kids portions are great, and the chicken options they offer for them is perfect for finicky eaters. Veggies are often supplemented with their own seasonal stuff so when it's fresh you know it's FRESH. Soup is plain and overpriced, basically just bullion powder broth and a few token veggies thrown in. Very family friendly with all that said, and they're...
Read moreNot great. Got two different kinds pad thai (different protein, one with no egg) and they were both made the same, and poorly at that. Noodles were shockingly bright orange, soaked in sauce with a powerful, fishy odor. I took 2 bites and couldn't finish. And the Chow Mein we got... No Noodles in it? and it came with wonton strips which i guess were supposed to take the noodles place? I'm not from the Whitesboro area so I don't know what the standards are around here but I was thoroughly disappointed and I can't BELIEVE how many good reviews this place has. Only positive was that it was cheap, so at least I didn't throw away ALL my money...
