Moved here a few years ago and this is now a local favorite with delicious food. However today they lost a 250 dollar order because once again they don’t answer the phone to take orders. We eat there about 5 times a month. Sadly the service is absolutely horrible when trying to place an order online. I would have given a 4 or 5 star review but this is the 15th time we have spent 20 minutes calling and calling without anybody ever picking the phone up. This is also the 4th time we were calling for a large party. They have now lost nearly one thousand dollars of our orders just due to the fact they don’t answer the phone. I went to store last time and asked them in person why they don’t answer phone. They claimed sometimes it gets busy, yet there was not a single person in the store besides me. 6 girls working there and not one of them is willing to answer a phone when it rings. I decided to try calling from outside the store one time. I watched as multiple employees stood there purposely ignoring all the phone calls while only having two customers in the entire establishment. Your employees poor attitudes with phone orders is costing your business a good deal of money. This issue needs addressed and fixed soon because we also have local friends who have completely stopped eating there at all due to this same problem. If you don’t want to take orders via the phone then lose the number and make it clear instead of wasting your customers time. The young lady on the register was asking the young lady making the sandwiches almost every number for everything we ordered but she never got irritated and they really showed great team work. We sat on the patio and I did not like watching those ladies end their shifts and walk to their cars. It seems that with the scary looking people walking downtown and how high crime is in whiteville the owners would let these very young female employees park in the actual parking lot for the sub shop and not have to cross the road and walk town alone. The second your employees have to maze through tweekers to wait at the stop sign alone on the walk from their car and into work. Read moreThis sandwich place is SENSATIONAL or rather SUBSATIONAL! I'm originally from NJ and miss the bread products from there. It might be the difference in water. In any event, the hoagie rolls are fresh and taste like from home. The meats are top end and fresh. I had a tuna sub with cheese and it was excellent. Real mayonnaise and not too much of it in the mix. Free refills on soda machine and iced tea. The unsweetened iced tea was fresh and not bitter. The shop was very clean and the staff friendly. Note: restrooms are out back not inside the building. A little strange but that leaves more room for dining in tables. Parking is tight, especially with the drive-thru.
