We went to 2 Sonic "locations" in Wichita Falls, spent about 40 minutes, and still left without food. 🤦♀️ So we arrive and pull into a bay at this location around 1:30p, not exactly during the lunch rush. After deciding what we want, I push the button, but we wait much longer than normal. I decide to press it again after a minute or two, figuring maybe they're busy and missed us. A guy answers and starts to take my order. I ask for the kids' chicken nuggets meal. At first, he is entering the adult nuggets meal, but with clarification 2 or 3 times, and finally saying we want the one with a toy, he finally gets the kids meal. He did seem to have to look for things a lot, so it seems like it might be his first day, or at least he's new. Fine, we can work with that. Then things really went downhill. Next, I ask for a #1 combo meal. I'm literally just asking for a #1 meal, but he keeps putting in just the sandwich, not the meal. He asks someone how to delete the individual sandwiches that keep being added and is able to get them off. I keep asking for the adult #1 combo, and he eventually puts in the kids' hamburger meal. 🙄 No, I literally just want a #1 combo! He puts me on hold, clearly looking for someone to help him. After a while a woman comes on and asks how she can help. I again ask for a #1 combo, and the line goes silent. I press the button again, but the screen goes blank and back to the welcome screen, and the kids' meal that had been listed is gone. Our whole interaction is now gone (even though we had only gotten 1 meal ordered so far). I press the button and again no one answers. 🤦♀️ My daughter really wants Sonic, so I suggest we go through the drive-through. Maybe we will get a different person who can help us. When we arrived, it was not very busy, but by now, there are many more cars in bays, but no one is in the drive-through. That should have been a clue, but I was hoping they were being efficient in the drive-through, so there wasn't a backup. Nope! We drive up, and no one acknowledges us. I call "hi" into the speaker a few times but nothing. No one ever comes to help us. That was the last straw! We left and tried another Sonic nearby listed as open on Google Maps, but that turned out to be a falling apart shack, so that didn't work either. We ended up having to go to a different fast food chain to get food. The whole thing was very frustrating since it was the middle of our 2nd day of driving home. We couldn't believe we had such a delay, about 40 minutes between the 2 "locations", and still with nothing. We tried to be patient, knowing things happen, but good grief! I usually like Sonic, but this was a really disappointing experience. Get it...
Read moreThis was one of the worst experiences my family has had at a Sonic. First, it took about 20 minutes for our order to be brought to us. Out of the four of us, they only managed to get the order right for one on the first try. They told us one price, but I guess they corrected the price before they brought the food to us. They had failed to charge for one Wacky Pack. But even though they added the cost of the Wacky Pack back onto the ticket, they didn't actually bring the Pack! Instead of Ched 'R Bites, we got Ched 'R Peppers, and an order of Tots was missing.
We told our carhop what all was missing and reminded him that the Wacky Pack that was missing was a hotdog with no bun, as our child is allergic to wheat. On the next try, we got the wacky pack, with a hot dog in a bun. No Ched 'R Bites, and two tots instead of the one.
Next try, we got the hot dog, but still no Ched 'R Bites. On the fourth try, we finally got our Ched 'R Bites. We left, vowed not to come back to this Sonic, and ate our food. It was terrible. The grease used to cook the tots and Ched 'R Bites was obviously old, and left a terrible aftertaste...
Read moreI’ve worked at the sonic on Windthorst Rd multiple times. The general manager and many of the day shift managers that work there are inconsiderate and don’t really care about their employees. Since I started working there the second time the store has gone down hill. the druggie managers, the roaches, and the management of the building just isn’t where it should be. Me and others work hard to try and help and keep the store on track on night shift. And have continuously had to work in the store with only two people working. in this case we call Micheal and he says ok and hangs up. He is a arrogant person that, shames christian holidays like Good Friday. he referred to it as a pagan holiday, when i asked to work earlier because of church. I wouldn’t ever recommend someone to work there due to the unprofessionalism that is very much broadcasted throughout...
