Mi Lindo Michoacan — Restaurant in Wichita

It's here, I found it. Yes, right here, this place, hiding in plain sight! Gosh, I've been looking for a great, authentic Mexican food restaurant in Wichita, and here it is! You don't need to look any further. I was getting worried I wouldn't find a great, authentic Mexican food place, after leaving Southern California, but I'm not worried any longer, because here it is. They've got a very small menu, but you need'nt sweat it, because here is the BEST Mexican food Wichita has to offer. Yes, everything on the menu is terrific, tacos, burritos, salsas.....even the staff is great. I really like the tacos at Pollo Express, but I don't care for their burritos nor their salsas, this little hole in the wall, has got it all. If you haven't already been fortunate enough to have already tried it, find a way to get here! You can thank me later. The only proverbial wrench in the spokes, is two things. One, they are for the most part only open for lunch, with the exception of Saturday, and Sunday. The second would be that they are all the way across town from my casa. I went to Mi Lindo Michoacan Mexican Restaurant and just check out the photo of the Papas Campechanas - its French fries with shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, queso fresco and we chose Carne Asado for the meat. Oh my that was sooo good! The carnitas we got had a great mix of different pieces of mouth watering pork. Like authentic Mexican carnitas do. I ordered beans, guacamole and sour cream on the side and at each table they bring out a little serving trio one bowl with limes, one with onions and one with cilantro and onions mixed. I can't even think of the words to describe this place but if you have not tried this place you are missing out! This was hands down the best tacos I have had anywhere. You can order the carnitas by the pound and even have the choice of leaving the skin on which makes it that much better. We got a few orders of homemade tortillas and they bring everything you need to the table the cilantro onions limes and 3 different sauces. We also ordered a bowl of menudo which was also amazing the tripe was very tender not rubbery and was cut into small pieces. And to top it all off homemade agua frescas.
