Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Wichita

I just would like to say in a manager at another fast food restaurant and I would absolutely never treat my employees like this, my brother who is about to graduate high got a job here for the summer, he has come home multiple time complaining about one manger in particular Joel, my brother was a car-hop and would come home complaining how this manager would steal his tips and he didn’t understand why he was doing it, well tonight my brother has come home and said that his manger had fired him, we asked him what had happened and he told us, he had asked him to take this order off of is stuff so we wouldn’t he charged for it, Joel proceeded to throw that receipt away, and then shortly after that my brother had complained that he had to pick me up from work and he had been there an hour and a half after he was supposed to leave, Joel proceeded to yell at my brother from the other end of the store “that maybe he should find another job” and then came up there and told my butcher to hand him his money, my brother did and Joel told him that he was fired and took my brothers clock out receipt, after my brother got home he had told us what happened and my dad said well let’s find out why he took your tips, we had went up there, and my dad asked to speak with Joel at there front door, Joel came out there and my dad asked him why he took all my brothers money, he then got angry and raised his voice at my dad so my dad did the same and he said that my brother was 4 dollars short and he was going to call the police, the entire time we were waiting for the police the female inside Lyla, was making faces at us and smiling and recording us, I recorded the entire conversation between him and my dad and he said that my dad threatened to kill him, this is not a nice place to work and the “store manager” Stacy she doesn’t even care about what is going on in her building she just hangs up on parents trying to explain things for there kids. Also the many times I have come up there and spent my own money at that business just to say hello to my brother and ordered on the app just a couple small items I would be waiting atleast 45 minutes for those few items to get to me when they say “it’s on the way” it will get to you in about 30 minutes they don’t care about there customers or...

So this place is not like the best or the worst. The service used to be worse but has improved lately. They have happy hour drinks I believe from 2p to 5p. They have tons of options for making up different drinks and making your own unique flavor. The same goes for the possibilities on you ice cream selections. The hot food here is par I suppose. None of their meal options are top notch. That being said if you like corn dogs this is your place! They have 50 cent corn dog days all the time. I remember going here often as a kid, and it seemed like it was way better then. Maybe that is nastalgia, or maybe it is just the in general overall decline in out society as a whole. I remember that we would order the food and they would bring it to you within 5 minutes or you got a free ice cream. The people that worked there wore roller skates!! It was kind of a place you went and soaked in the atmosphere... all the while never leaving your car. Alas like so many things nowadays it's been soaked into the fast paced society of click this and slide your card here. We want our food fast and to go. The car hops no longer skate they barely even smile and at times you wonder if the words they have said were even comprehensible as they rattle back your order. Almost inevitably something is made wrong, something is cold that should be hot or the other way around. Tips used to be common place for the vibrant roller car hops but come few and far between for the emo girl and chubby Hispanic. They struggle thru each day miserable about bringing you the food you ordered praying that it got made how you ordered it... dreading the backlash to be faced when it isn't... the whole while you set in your car anoyyed at the american top 40 Sonic radio.... Wow... so after that spill into darkness and the degradation of American society... I guess it really is the since of nastalgia that keeps me thinking you fondly Sonic....

Ordered a single large diet coke on the mobile app. Got there and checked in. 5 minutes later the screen pops up saying "Douglass is headed your way with your order". No one comes. After another 7 minutes I press the red button 3 minutes more and no one has answered. I call the store and someone picks up and I explain how I've been there for 15 minutes for one drink She then tells me " I must not have checked in" I then explain to her I have She says she will send someone out. A guy comes out with my drink and a "free drink chip" and says "sorry about the wait". I explain to him that I was upset and he basically just nods. I ask for a manager and he says he IS the manager. I tell him to have a good night and roll up my window. Take one sip of my drink and ITS NOT EVEN DIET COKE. At this point I get out of my car and go knock on the window. I hear them laughing about what I told the "manager " and he comes out SMILING and asking what is wrong. I explain this isnt my drink. He goes and remakes it then comes back and says nothing. This is the worst experience I have had at this location but not the only bad one Almost every time i go the drinks are so wrongly carbonated my friends and I cant even drink them. The service always takes forever even if theres no other cars in the stalls. I will not be returning. Save your patience by driving a few miles down the road to the 47th and...
