I decided to go back after a bad experience I had a year ago. I was less than impressed. I decided go back the next day for lunch to see if it was a fluke and it was pretty much the same but with added negativity from the waitress. I understand everything has gotten insanely expensive and people are cutting costs. It’s nothing personal but when I pay $18 for a meal I don’t want an ice cold u-bake pull a part roll. Not to mention the portions have also gotten smaller. I had hamburger steak and the next day had the meatloaf lunch special. When I got my sides of baked beans, green beans and potatoes and gravy I was shocked. Each bowl of beans was barely half full and at most there was a half scoop of mashed potatoes. The meatloaf was excellent but there was something different about the hamburger steak. It wasn’t as thick as it had been in the past. Also the lids on the ketchup bottles need to be replaced. They are cracked or completely missing the spout. Lastly the waitress I had at lunch acted like she was miserable. I didn’t think I was going to get a refill at first but she finally came to my table and asked if I wanted one. After I finished and was getting ready to leave I guess she noticed I didn’t leave a tip on the table and followed me to the register and watched over the guy’s shoulder when he rang up my ticket to see if I left her a tip. Which, by the way, I did. I will say the other waitress that was there came from Waffle House down the road. She was killing it. They need two or three more just like her there at...
Read moreI placed an order with my coworkers and family. They forgot my food and when I asked the waitress came over slung the ticket on my table and said they are working on it. She then returned and dropped my plate in front of me and walked away without a word like I did something wrong. My mom told her my food was cold and she said hold on to which later another lady came set my fries down and walked away without a word. At this point I’m getting upset. I talked to Brian who is probably the only friendly person I encountered and told him to remove it from my ticket. The owner Lisa came out hollering did you say something to someone and since I was already irritated I said yes I did and what’s Im doing now. Then the waitress lies and says she didn’t bring my food. It was only my fries brought by someone different. After I just had enough and decided to walk out to keep from saying more they walked around laughing saying I am in a good mood. Which she was for everyone but me for some reason. This place has gone down hill and it’s shame that even the owner was rude in questioning me like I stole something !!!! I won’t be back until something changes. Very unprofessional even a customer stated that and asked if they could talk...
Read moreI will preface by saying this place is definitely popular among the locals. There was a line out the door. I, however, am not a fan of fake gravy or dismissive waitresses.
This man in front of us was seated well before us. He didn't have a drink yet, but he already ordered it and his food. The younger girl was his waitress. He kept asking her about his food, she ignored him to begin with, then finally answered, "I don't know." He got up to go to the restroom, and she gave his table away to two ladies. He came out and told the ladies it was his table, and they were adamant that the waitress said it was theirs. They finally gave it back to him. Our waitress came out and gave him a drink and informed him they forgot to put his order in.
It was busy, yes, but that doesn't excuse poor behavior to your customer. Especially if you're still expecting a tip.
I got the hamburger steak. The gravy I pushed off, the patty tasted like those pre made frozen patties. Yes, things are expensive for the restaurant world. Not every restaurant can do fresh. But his is a personal review. I say try it, ya might like it. Like i said in the beginning. It is a very...
